I think that some things can be both a fetish and a fantasy.

Fantasies seem to me that they are something that you find yourself thinking about but they have never happened yet. More like dreaming about a certain series of events, or what you would do if you were with a certain person.

Fetishes seem more specific, and may or may not have already taken place in your life.

How can they be both? Well, when you are fantasizing about a fetish. Say you have a foot fetish, so you fantasize about sucking on the toes of that hot girl you saw in line at the store.

The great thing about them both is making them come true. Over and over again, lol.

To illustrate these and other related concepts, allow me to share my: Treasure of the Sierra Madre Fantasy

Now my sexual tastes are pretty pedestrian, vanilla, typical, not especially interesting. I have no fetishes for example. But I do enjoy skulpting fantasies. Especially when there is some fun twist that I can make to them.

Now imagine with me if you will, an incredibly sexy woman who is alone in her room, just starting to get in that, 'maybe I should do a little playing' mood. In this fantasy, let's make this woman unique, a little odd, in a sexy way. Imagine she is a little in love with Bogart, that she loves classic film. In fact, she has a bona fide fetish related to one movie in particular, Treasure of the Sierra Madre. She will start her DVD, forward it to a certain spot that gives her a few minutes of lead in, and then comes the scene that drives her insane, making her rocket up the old nerve firings per second curve in all the right places. Maybe no one else on the planet has quite this reaction to this scene. If the director only knew, he'd be so pleased.

Yeah it's a scene with Dobbsie all right. The man with the obsession for gold. He doesn't get off on it. But it does make him ever so irrational - greedy and dangerous. There is something about the crazy glint in this man's eyes and the way he protects his 'goods'. Maybe she imagines herself being the object of his obsession. The passion that would bring.

Now the trick in my fantasies at least is to somehow insert myself into them. It is hard for me to feel it otherwise. Now I could be outside her house, at her front door, just dropping by for a visit. Maybe I've got a crush on this woman but just haven't found a way to reach her yet. Maybe I am even about to give up, shake hands, and say ok ok let's just be friendly neighbors.

mmmmm but then I hear this movie that is so familiar. Hear heavy breathing and groaning. Maybe even see some change in light or sense some movement behind drawn curtains. Making my senses light up and a new mission to pop into my .... strategic command queue.

Well.... you get the idea. I can make it a house I once owned for familiarity. I can do some Bogarting. Playing upon obsession, fetish, unrequited neighbor lust requited at long last - in short all that Shakespeare could have whipped into another Hamlet ; )
