i hope some of this helps it is a desktop
Intel(r)
Pentium(r) 4CPU 2.20 GHz
2.19GHz 512 MB RAM
is that the information you needed.
also window 2007 xp pro version 2002 service pack 3
i have two hardrives,
i dont think i would have a problem opening the computer and putting something in, have done it before.
Okay in your case I would get a Viewcast Osprey 210 it's an internal capture card and is better then any USB solution available for quality. They are around $200 but if you shop around Im sure you can find one cheaper.

Also try looking into getting more memory for that PC maybe 2GB instead of the 512mb you have will help make things faster and better, but if you plan on only using it for cam work the 512mb will be fine if you don't find it slow.
Also with the low spec pc you have there this hardware solution with the osprey will give you better results then trying a USB capture card because the USB ones require you to have a good pc with a good CPU. So to make sure you don't get any headaches get the osprey 210.
It has all the inputs you need S-video,composite and audio left and right the osprey 210 to link to a Sony EVI camera. If you find it too expensive, you can try the Dazzle DVD recorder but I can't promise you it will work well on a Pentium 4 CPU 2.20Ghz. So if you want the Dazzle I would buy a new laptop/desktop with atleast a dual core cpu to make sure there is no problems.
Dazzle DVD recorder.
