Hey, can anyone solve this problem?
My webcam plays up when I go pvt, the picture the model sees is doubled vertically and tilted 45 degrees to one side. Sometimes it`s crystal clear but most times it`s like this now, it`s so annoying.
It`s the same problem using Google Chrome or Firefox, I`m using vista on a laptop (built in cam) with a wi-fi broadband connection, and all the software is up to date.

Any help? :helpme

Have you got some webcam software on that laptop that can add effects to the video ? Seen many of these programs on the internet and many people use them say on msn,yahoo or skype to add effects to their video. Sometimes they forget to disable them and such things happen. May want to test the camera with something like windows movie maker and see what it really sees just make sure it is selected only and not some strange software driver for some effects program.

If still no luck stick the laptop make and model number here, also I would advise trying it on a wired connection not Wi-Fi too, just incase it's causing some data drops and causing this strange effect you see.

Ok I`ll sift through the software again and see if any recent updates are the cause. sometimes it`s ok though, that`s the annoying thing haha.

You could try asking the models that give you that problem to check if they are using the latest version of the performer application, they could try updating it and see if it helps you. Also what you can do is email customer services with the rooms giving you the problem so they can check if there is a pattern to the problem.

Also are you by any chance using a 64bit operating system on that computer ?

The performer application is a program the performers use to broadcast on this site, they know what it is :winkwink

By the way did you update Flash player ?

You will need to update flash player from inside each of the browsers so it can install the right one for each browser so you will need to update it for all your browsers one by one.

To get the latest version of flash player.

This will tell you what version you have and what is the latest version under it. The latest version is version 10,1,53,64 .

If you can screen capture the problem if you have checked everything send the image file to Flirt4free customer support, their email is in the contacts link below. State the browser version, flash version and windows version you use with the screenshot and anything that is special on that pc you may know off.

Also wondering if models need to update Flashplayer their end too, Adobe did make some big changes recently to flash player... Twiddling fingers here and wondering if the site may need to ask models to update to the latest flash player too... Could ask the model that gave you the problem to update her flash player too, it's same way as I mentioned above for your computer.

i`m using vista home premium and i`ve found it`s no longer being updated, would upgrading to windows seven help? ...can`t imagine it`d hurt. vista has always been a pain as nothing syncs with it, my mobile phones for example.

Maybe a good idea to do a fresh install of that pc with windows 7 and see how it goes from there just make sure you can get all the drivers for the computer in windows 7 form (vista drivers work too in most cases on windows 7).

See im kinda lost what else could do it, you did say you tried more then one browser and saw the same problem so can't be a problem with firefox that I have heard off recently (can read about it in link below) regarding how plugins are managed and used inside firefox now. Could be also just the webcam on the laptop going bad, but guessing you tested it elsewhere and saw no problems for long periods of testing it.

P.S Windows Vista is one of the worst operating systems MS made and it's just as bad as Windows ME was in the day.. Windows 7 and XP Pro are what you want to use.

Ok, I`ll get to updating to windows7 when I can and I`ll let you know if it helps. I also am beginning to think it`s just the cam going senile, maybe a wire has worked loose or ...oh I don`t know. Oh for a decent pen and a piece of nice writing paper hahaha. Thanks again Purg.
