someone pointed out we need more fantasy threads in the fantasy forum, so here we go!

lets try to keep this thread going, and get as many fantasies spun into it as possible, deal? we need to get everyone in on this


They fly in atop a glittering emerald dragon, crooks and bete, swooping in from their journey through outer space. We see Fantasy Planet, growing closer and closer. The planet is marbled with bright glittering color, the caps a gleaming white and blue.

Closer. closer. the planet grows in size.

Water. green, blue, shades of purple flowing through the waves, little shining gold and silver fish fly in and out of the water.

We approach a chain of Islands in this ocean.

Fantasy Island.

The dragon swoops in, dropping us into this new alien land, then flies off into the marbled glittering sky.

We look around, trees, foliage, the colors bolder and brighter than any we have ever seen. Flowers grow everywhere, scenting the air with a soft perfume.

Off in the distance, we see girls nude, playing in the waves on the sandy beach. The sand is a soft lavender shade here. Upon closer inspection, there are more girls, laying on the beach together, swimming in the water.

"OH! no clothes here!"

I throw my clothes off, grinning wildy at the girl next to me, then head for the ROLLERCOASTER!

"COME ON, LETS GO!!!"

She follows me, running hand in hand across the gentle hills and soft grass. We see kindred spirits and rejoice in our good fortune.

Josh tosses and turns in his bedroom, the mystery of what they are dealing with muddled with his hubris about how smart he had been to purchase this condo when he had. The expansion of oil shale drilling and processing in the West had driven housing costs through the roof. 'If I time it right I could reap a fortune on the sale of this two bedroom unit.'

Joan lies rigidly in the guest room bed, �I hate not being in my own space. Josh is such a �guy� about everything. John, I don�t know what the hell to make out of him. He doesn�t want to be tied down to us, and will jump ship the moment he gets the answers he needs. But what will that mean to him, what will he do? What will become of the team without him? The women are moving south and suddenly in such a rush to do it, why? Years of gradual movement west and now they run south? Do they want a tan?�

John, long used to sleeping when and where he can from his years of forest hunting, falls to a shallow sleep immediately. �The snows have drifted into windblown, choppy water, wave shapes across the open plain; against the rock outcrops and along the forest edges they have heaped into tall white and blue shapes, curving and cut and looking as if they were sculpted faery towers. The moon hangs in the sky, a narrow crescent slice, waning away. My rifle is slung barrel down on my left shoulder, the quiver and bow on my right. The turquoise beaded design on the buckskin wrap around the precious k1lling arrows extends above the black surface of the quiver. The beaded design glows softly in the moonlight. I run steadily at my distance pace. My snowshoes, in this dry fluffed flake, make the sound of a hunting falcon cutting through the air in a long fall for prey. My breath smokes in the air behind me. The tracks of the two doe are clear in the white snow on the plain. It is very early morning. The dawn is far in the future. I look up from tracing their track and they stand there, looking over their shoulders at me, their eyes wide and blue in the night. They leap forward, their rear quarters kicking sparkling snow into the night.�

We stood at the top of the stairs to the Goth blood club that we�d stayed at �til closing; all the wanna be Vlads and Minas and Twilight fans with their glitter makeup had left and scattered, laughing and mocking flight while they ran down the streets. It was quiet now, we had said good night to the tall redhead at the bar. My girl had done vodka with lemon slivers while I had sipped the customary green faery slowly, allowing the tattooed red head to serve it properly. She�d smiled and winked when I�d taken the eroded sugar cube and rubbed it on my lips slowly before sliding it into my mouth. My girl had laughed at the pretense and winked back at the bartender. My lover�s piercing was unnoticed by those in the club, all of whom were wildly gauged and prominently un-garbed to display their art. We had danced and kissed and held each other close, and twice refused the offer of �certified� blood from potential victims.

At two in the morning the lights had risen slightly, gently, so as not to disturb the mood and moment; and the departures had begun; and now, we stood in the cold together, quiet and looking at each other. My girl raised an eyebrow in interrogation, and I pulled my cigarette case out from my heavy calf length black coat. I opened the case slowly, the red Luna moth flaring in the halogen glare of the streetlight nearby. �So?� she whispered while moving closer. I lit the Red with my Zippo, clicking it shut and dropping it and the cigarette case back into the pocket they lived in together; the deep bruise, in her mouth shape, on my wrist sliding back under the black cashmere. I took a soft pull on the smoke and looked in her heavenly blue eyes, then reached with my left hand and gently traced the shape of the nose that I loved far beyond myself. Her large blue eyes closed and she quietly said �Yes.�

I took my second and customary last inhale of the tobacco, exhaled, and slid the coal off and rubbed the remaining fire out with my index finger. �Do that to prove you are tough?� she asked, taking my arm. �No, darling; I only leave ashes behind.�
