ok, so i didn't heed the advice of the wise and choose carefully when picking screennames and some that i'm stuck with are completely useless and/or retarded...

i assume there must be others out there like me..

perhaps the voice of the people will be heard if we can make a long enough thread, hell it worked for semi pvt curtain windows and green admin posts...

yeah yeah yeah go thru customer service, i have to no avail...

maybe if some big forum guns posted there opinions ...

I'd be happy to get a chance for a clean slate every so often like that. Except for the primary name of course.

It's true that can type in any name that you like that isn't reserved by someone else. But is nice to be able to quick reference some one that is part of your favorite moving set of the moment. ; )

I have emailed customer service in the past and asked for them to delete a few of the ones that i didnt like. they asked for the list of the ones i didnt want anymore and they were gone within a very short period of time, i cant remember exactly how long it took as it was quite a while ago, but i think it was within a day or 2.

Customer service will definitely help with this. The timing depends on how many other requests they have, but once they email you, it is done rather quickly. :thumbsup

Agreed, customer service is very good in this regard. Had mine deleted within 6 hours. Just be sure to list your primary user name and the nicks you want deleted in your first message to avoid delays.

I Think he means that unused nicknames should be deleted from the system, giving other people an opportunity to use them.

I vote nay.. but I also think that there should be a limit on the names (is there? I dont know).. set at maybe..say .. three. That way, if someone gets bored of a nickname and wants to make another he will have to delete it (which, in turn, frees it up for someone else) -- and then create a new one.

I vote nay because there are many people who are not on here so much. A repeat customer does not have to be someone who comes on every day -- or every month.

Some of the biggest ballers in clubs for example only go once every few months..have a great time -- then save up their anticipation for the next time.

Hit "Screen Names" and you can see your list :drinkup

I would hate to go to my favorite restaurant for the first time in 3 months, and at that 3 month mark nobody recognizes me .. even if I had gone for years! I would get frustrated if I had to make a new name every time I come back.
Maybe of inactivity of name after a year.. is another story. I am sure there are some names unused for a year+!

i have to agree with scarlett on this one. i think after a year it's pretty safe to say someone's not coming back. at that time maybe we could release the name back to the public. i only use my one name but why do people even need 10 nicknames?

I must be lucky then as I have 15 names on my reserved list -- but as you said only able to have 5 active at once ( 1 of which MUST be the original name you registered with )
