Has anyone ever encountered javascript:refreshVideoBlock(1) or javascript:refreshChatBlock(1) in chat. My java used to work and I downloaded the latest edition but no change.

hi luisjr, okay well 1st thing I need to ask you what browser you using ? also version and the operating system you are using .


Next thing you can check of top of my head that can cause java script refresh errors are as follows :-

Security software that sets browser to Noscript or disables parts of addons like flash and java.
So check you have not added some strange addon that does security in the browser or some software like antivirus with some other addons like malaware protection. All these could in some cases cause a refresh error in java scripts and html scripts. Also check your browser is set to medium level of security or it's default levels as a test and make sure cookies are enabled too, cookies sometimes can cause refresh errors. So clear all your browser cache just incase it's a bad cookie or just a currupt page that is cached and not running right.


But let me know what operating system you are on and the browser too.. also flash version and java version .

Make sure in the browser that you have javascript allowed to run too, Firefox that will be in options > tools > (contents tab) make sure java is enabled and javascript there. Internet explorer > tools internet options > ( Advanced tab) work your way down and make sure sun java is enabled and scripting is allowed .. With Internet explorer I would just click reset internet explorer settings and see if that sets all back to how it should be and then you can adjust the things you want and don't want again. This saves alot of time trying sometimes to find the one thing causing the problem.
