as far as i have been able to ascertain, it is not even remotely canadian. the few times i have gotten curious and ordered canadian bacon in the US i got basically sliced ham. is that what it is, or were the places i ate at just ghetto?

here we have bacon (its the same as your bacon in the states). we also have peameal which is cured pork coated with corn meal and sliced about 1/4" thick and fried. I forget what cut of pork is used to make it, but it is not the stomach (where traditional bacon is from). it is a very lean cut actually, bit of fat around the edges usually, but none throughout. its damn good though

but ya, if that is not what you call canadian bacon, then whatever you are calling canadian bacon is not canadian

up here we have never really understood what 'canadian bacon' means :drinkup

and if you are gonna steal something of ours to sell down there, why not poutine? we love that shit

Now I have another food product to look up.

French (do you still call them Freedom in the states?) fries and cheese curd and gravy??? One part of me thinks that is gonna be scrumptious. The other part wants to declare Canada as weird cheesy gravy chip eaters... hmmm. Only one thing for it... I'm off to Canada! I wish I knew a Canadian model now so I could sleep on her couch whilst I wasn't earing poutine and drinking maple syrup (I have no idea what Canada's speciality drink is, but they must make maple syrup surely... what's that leaf on the flag for? False advertising?)

The Caesar is considered Canada's national drink.

Caesar recipe:

1 oz Vodka
Clamato juice
1 dash Worcestershire sauce
1 dash Tabasco sauce
Salt
Pepper

Celery salt
Celery stick

Rim a tall glass with celery salt and fill with ice. Add vodka, fill glass with Clamato juice, and add Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, salt, and pepper. Garnish with a celery stick, and enjoy!

I am a Canadian and live in the city (Edmonton) in which the caesar drink was founded. Edmontonions only wish it was the national drink. Like many people in the world, we consider our beer as the best and drink by the gallon. I am with JD on this one.

19 in ontario. the rest of the country, i am not sure...quebec used to be 16, but not sure if it still is....the rest i have no idea....anyone else know?

OH!! be forewarned, if you smoke, you can't do that in bars here! one of the reasons i quit actually.....
