We are excited to announce the longest contest ever held on our network and the biggest prize pool ever awarded! The first ever World�s Top Cam Model contest will run for 10-weeks and at the end will crown the top male and female performer on the site! Over $12,000 in prizes will be awarded making this the contest everyone will be talking about for the rest of 2009!

Customer Prizes
We will also be giving customers prizes each week based on how many credits they use with performers int he contest. The top 10 customers from the girls and guys sides of the site will receive anywhere from 100 to 1,000 free credits!

Is the viewing of the credit counts for each model going to be restored for this contest? Because there's no accountability for these and I'm not sure the systems you have in place actually work. I've seen time and time again where models that aren't even online suddenly jump places at the end of a contest day (and don't tell me the VOD moves them up against girls online and in pvt.) There's also evidence elsewhere of the fallibility of your site's counts. Case in point: the most watched vod. Click on the most watched vod and there are videos in there with 1 or 2 views, and/or videos that are 2 days old. Pretty impressive that a 2 day old vod can be one of the most watched vods of all time, and with under 5 views. Maybe there was 1200 people in one house watching at the same time, I don't know.

I think if everyone could see the hard numbers it'd be a better, more reliable contest.

They work, but the credit counts are not going to be displayed on the contest page. On Monday you will see that the top 20 will show as "CURRENTLY IN" and places 21 through 50 will show the # of credits they are out of 20th place.

I've seen time and time again where models that aren't even online suddenly jump places at the end of a contest day (and don't tell me the VOD moves them up against girls online and in pvt.)

For our promotion days that data only updates once an hour and it's then cached for all future requests during that hour. It's a simple database query summing paid shows, VOD and virtual gifts; we don't have the time or inclination to muck with it.

I think what you're experiencing might be the fact that the results only update when paid shows end.

There's also evidence elsewhere of the fallibility of your site's counts. Case in point: the most watched vod. Click on the most watched vod and there are videos in there with 1 or 2 views, and/or videos that are 2 days old.

Yes, this section *really* needs some work. The developers have a project open to address this and I think they are about 50% of the way done. Originally, for the purposes of the "most watched" page we were counting the # of times the player page loaded.

This was obviously based on a faulty premise since loading the page is not a good indication of how popular a recording is. A better system, and one we are working towards, is using the # of unique people and the # of credits used to build popularity.

I think if everyone could see the hard numbers it'd be a better, more reliable contest.

Posting the amount of credits isn't going to happen for this contest other than what I described above for the preliminaries and potentially during the weekly rounds where the bottom 3 are up for elimination; we might show some data for those three performers.

Good luck to all competitors in this contest - hope that its a fair CLEAN contest and we dont have an influx of chatters of ALL colours room hopping promoting a model to bump them up the list .

I am pretty certain that all performers will not want to have themselves a victim of people spamming their name in other rooms, as I recall at end of '07 Something similar happening on the forums to see that 1 performer was made FOTM that led to a LOT of ill feelings due to about 25 threads all starting saying same things appearing at once (pretty much all written by 3 peope using dofferent names).

Let all performers and chatters have a good remains to the year and once again

Just 1 more thing - if 2 performers have pvts that are 25 mins each - wouldnt the 1 in regular be at a silght disadvantage to the 1 using premiere ? -- I would of thought something based round total number of pvts / vods / gifts would be more level. As I note that some vod shows are privced at 10c (credits) a min to dtrem and others are 6c a minute, Hey just my :twocents

I think the practice of models visiting other models rooms during this contest should be suspended; it creates the appearance that models might be stealing away customers for their own benefits. If they are or not is not the point, to keep the contest above question, they should be banned from visiting other models during this or any other contest.

There are also a few bad apple members that will go log into more than one chat room with different or even the same screen names and talk up one model (or even talk down models) while in another room. Members should only be allow to be logged into one room under one any at anytime.

The models, whom are in other model's chatrooms, and their friend's chatrooms have, and can have usernames just like us, and other people do. You would have to know, and recognize what they are. I think it is good to see a contest with the words "Web Cam" in it. I don't think there has been too many of them, which makes it even more better. I would like to wish, and say good luck to all of the models.

Pretty much every time i have seen a model visiting another models room - thay are actually playing themselves DOWN and always try and re-direct the focus on the room-host.
