I think that some things can be both a fetish and a fantasy.

Fantasies seem to me that they are something that you find yourself thinking about but they have never happened yet. More like dreaming about a certain series of events, or what you would do if you were with a certain person.

Fetishes seem more specific, and may or may not have already taken place in your life.

How can they be both? Well, when you are fantasizing about a fetish. Say you have a foot fetish, so you fantasize about sucking on the toes of that hot girl you saw in line at the store.

The great thing about them both is making them come true. Over and over again, lol.

To illustrate these and other related concepts, allow me to share my: Treasure of the Sierra Madre Fantasy

Now my sexual tastes are pretty pedestrian, vanilla, typical, not especially interesting. I have no fetishes for example. But I do enjoy skulpting fantasies. Especially when there is some fun twist that I can make to them.

Now imagine with me if you will, an incredibly sexy woman who is alone in her room, just starting to get in that, 'maybe I should do a little playing' mood. In this fantasy, let's make this woman unique, a little odd, in a sexy way. Imagine she is a little in love with Bogart, that she loves classic film. In fact, she has a bona fide fetish related to one movie in particular, Treasure of the Sierra Madre. She will start her DVD, forward it to a certain spot that gives her a few minutes of lead in, and then comes the scene that drives her insane, making her rocket up the old nerve firings per second curve in all the right places. Maybe no one else on the planet has quite this reaction to this scene. If the director only knew, he'd be so pleased.

Yeah it's a scene with Dobbsie all right. The man with the obsession for gold. He doesn't get off on it. But it does make him ever so irrational - greedy and dangerous. There is something about the crazy glint in this man's eyes and the way he protects his 'goods'. Maybe she imagines herself being the object of his obsession. The passion that would bring.

Now the trick in my fantasies at least is to somehow insert myself into them. It is hard for me to feel it otherwise. Now I could be outside her house, at her front door, just dropping by for a visit. Maybe I've got a crush on this woman but just haven't found a way to reach her yet. Maybe I am even about to give up, shake hands, and say ok ok let's just be friendly neighbors.

mmmmm but then I hear this movie that is so familiar. Hear heavy breathing and groaning. Maybe even see some change in light or sense some movement behind drawn curtains. Making my senses light up and a new mission to pop into my .... strategic command queue.

Well.... you get the idea. I can make it a house I once owned for familiarity. I can do some Bogarting. Playing upon obsession, fetish, unrequited neighbor lust requited at long last - in short all that Shakespeare could have whipped into another Hamlet ; )

Slim: Those don't look like federales to me, my prince of all men.

Doblett: (shouting) If you are policemen, where are your badges? By my faith and troth you are none.

Tuco: (shouting back) Badges? Baddddgeeeeees, lack beard?!? We don't have no badges. We don't need no stinking badgeeees!!!

Doblett: Oh how shameful it is for me. This man is so full of fight and ready to kill us for our boots, whilst I , who have so many other reasons to wipe out that rat of a father and his tarty wife, ....

Slim: Doblett, Doblett!!! Snap out of it. We need to lay down a curtain of lead. Right now!

Doblett: Yeah! We'll show them what for!

Guns start to blaze and the scene raises up to eagle eye. There is certainly trouble in the valley!

On a different subject. Many women have suspected that men are a good deal less mature about their fantasies than women. That far from being romantic and clever, they would tend to revolve around a boy and his penis type silliness. Well, I would be the last to encourage such a misunderstanding of the complex male mind, usually, but in the interest of showcasing a man's versatility, here is western based boy and his penis:

Butch: Well we are in trouble again Sundance.

Sundance: Not my fault this time Butch.

Butch: Yeah, I know but focus. We need a plan.

Sundance: That's your department, I am just a gun.

Butch: The best gun there is my friend...

Sundance: awwwwwwww Butch *sob* remember the twins in Winnemucka?

Butch: Who wanted a up close and personal peak at the Hole in the Wall Gang?

Sundance: Yeah, weren't those the times.

Butch: Yeah now it's just dodging husbands and the AMA. Never should have bagged that doctor. And this latest team, jeeeeeezus.

Sundance: Who are those guys? We've never had anyone like this chasing after us.

Butch: I know. I know. Must have banged a mafioso's lady somewhere back there. But I can't remember when....

Sundance: We can't go on like this Butch. Most of the old gang has been wiped out.

Butch: I've got it. You ready? Boliva, Sundance. It is a paradise for guys like you and me.

Sundance: Bolivia? Gee I don't know Butch. But I guess you are the brains.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------

And the rest was history. ratta tatta tatta tat. ka pow. ka pow.

A fetish is something that turns you on and you think about a lot, like BDSM, feet, spanking, to name a few, but there are many others. A fantasy is what you want to happen like your fetish, and hopefully you'll get to fulfill them in real life.
