I'm not sure what all this hullabaloo is about, but I wanted to chime in here, cuz I can see both sides of Bete and the others' debate.
I've been on Flirt for a year and a half now, and I don't see what I do as "all business." I spend 1/3rd of my time camming, the rest of the time modeling and starting up a modeling-related business where I produce vids and photo stories for custom clients, sometimes with other models, and freelance web design. I could easily stop camming and do all the other stuff. I choose not to.
Wanna know why?
I actually really enjoy it. I'm an exhibitionist who gets off on people getting off on me. There, I said it.
Plus, the nutjobs, losers, or rude people have honestly been such a small percentage of the people I meet on here. I have met some of the sweetest, nicest-seeming people here on Flirt. And not to mention, many of the customers are actually HOT! Men and women...I've had some really steamy cam2cams...mmmm! Sorry, got distracted there.
That being said, I also understand this "you gotta pay your rent" argument.
We cam girls go to a lot of trouble and effort - I put a lot of investment in my makeup, hair, clothes, shoes, toys...also, when we're on cam, we're always "on." It can be tough sometimes, when you've had a bad day, to log into that chat room and be smiling, and flirty, and nice to everybody; but many of us do it. All we ask for, is some respect back, and to be able to make somewhat of a living at this. And that's it.
I can understand why models get annoyed with freeloaders in party chat. And if you come into my room bringing nothing but negative attitude, insults, or disrespect, I really appreciate that Flirt has given me the authority to kick you out. One bad apple can spoil the whole bunch and bring down the mood of everyone in the room.
I don't think they should ban someone for not going into a show, tho, because you never know when the guy who's sitting there, quiet in the corner, could end up becoming your best customer.
