1 question I have regarding the whole fan clubs is to site admins -- what happens if some1 buys said membership to a models fanclub and then their Net provider has a major cock up and loses connection for a time? Over here this happened when o2 phone and net services went down for a few days - surely the customer isn't getting the full 30 days worth of access? Wil a user get a small percentage of the monthly price back or is it a case of tough luck?

Didnt affect me as I am on a different net provider + as I said earlier in the thread - I aint gonna buy into 1 of these things. #just sayin

Already predicting whats going happen with fanclubs, models doing shoots that will only be available to those paying. Smells a bit like a similar thing on a site where a fair amount of models all left.for.

Personally I won't be.joining any of these as I rather show my fan status by just going private.

Good point. It is not buying trinkets that will make you happy. It is buying experiences. Privates offer that.

Yes I did see that also, however this is now revised down to 800 credits... here is an idea for VS why not give No 1 fans free membership matching the time period that member stays at no.1 ? Can't see any model / performer would object to that? :orglaugh

Upon first impression, it seems to shift much of the marketing component of what each model does (blogging, emails, posting new profile pictures, exclusive video content) to an audience that the model really doesn't need to market to any longer. I wonder if the email option will be less utilized or perhaps more limited to encourage membership. I wouldn't want to keep up with the Membership Wall for fans, Twitter and emails (not to mention the forum). That's more work than convincing the insistent young and fabulously frugal colorless guests that the proper order is 'you tip, I show' and not the other way round.

5 percent is a very generous discount. I would have to spend between USD $400 and $2 000 per month to reach the point where it's beneficial from a customer perspective, but that's completely devaluing any other benefit of the fan club than the discount. You really cannot pay enough for certain people to have black text.

Would I get a secret decoder ring?

I'm quite the fan of individualized attention, and it's easy to be comfortable in a room and not tip or go private or do something having forgotten that models are spending time here for more reasons than your company. I do hope it's successful.
