Don't worry Dan, I have been trolled by farts with more cerebral agility than this insignificant non-entity.
Oh, I don't worry at all. He and others like him are generally just equal parts hate & jealousy with a thin layer of skin barely holding it all together, LOL. I heard all the usual warnings about green card scammers, both from haters & from well intentioned friends. It comes with the territory, and I'm sure I'll have plenty of it again when, as I expect & hope, my current long distance relationship eventually reaches the point of a proposal. We shared seven happy years together, 5 of them married, and a friendly separation when life took us in different directions. I don't regret a moment of it, and we still keep in touch, and even pet-sit for each other when traveling. It was NEVER about getting a green card for her, what most people outside of our personal circle didn't know was that her father already lived in the USA and she could have done the green card process through him any time she wanted, as indeed her sister did. And for anyone counting, she had her green card in less than a year, and her full citizenship in the minimum 3 years, long before we went our separate ways. Right now I'm just happy that my belief that lightning CAN strike again has proven true, and the wife is just as happy for me that I have an Amorcita Nueva in my life now. Had covid not sent international travel to Hell in a hand-basket, I'd have been back & forth to Colombia several times since my last well-timed visit in February, and I'll be heading back to her waiting arms as soon as it is reliably safe to do so. I'm gonna miss you. From time to time I'd see you in chat. I hope I don't get jaded after all the years. And me too:"Je ne regrette rien."
You're a funny guy and well liked by the models. Quote
