I totally agree. I have one customer with a super nose fetish...not something everyone should be preview too. now, with recording of prvt shows and the "peek-a-boo" effect, I think twice about doing a show for him...not fair at all! we should have a choice also to make really obscene privates private.

As a relatively new member of this site and of being a VIP, I have to say that seeing a model in private via the preview window really did influence my choices of which model to take to private. Taking it away will, in my opinion, affect future potential customers decisions.

Hey Scarlette how are you babe?
Do you minde explaining to me how it all works about customers peeking in private and what can they see , im kinda getting confused here. And where can they see free 30 seconds? im still a little new here, and some things get me confused. Also about VOD, is it better for me to have it open for the public? see, so many cuestions ahh...

Hi sweetie

You should register an account of your own (and get free 120 credits) and you can see how to use the site.. I recommend all models to do this because then you can be totally honest with guys that it does not in fact charge your card until you buy credits.

So, when someone registers..even for the free registration before they buy credits (white) -- and they go in to your room -- when you are in private -- the men in your room see big red curtains that say "THIS MODEL IS IN PRIVATE"..however, every I don't know... 10-15 seconds? the curtains 'open' (flash) and people in your room can see what is happening in your private for about 3 seconds..not a still picture, but a short LIVE video feed of what is happening. Then the curtains close again for another 10-15 seconds.

It is that "opening" part every 10-15 seconds or so that we are debating... some say curtains should not open at all. Some say it should be a static photo that is refreshed every 30 seconds or whatever..

You might notice that when one minute your room might be very slow -- you get a private that is a few minutes..finish and go back to your main room, there are like 10-20 white and VIP(yellow) people in your room... a majority of these guys are 'private surfers' who just go through the list to see what girls are in pvt..and when a model comes out of pvt, they move on to another girl who is in pvt.. just to get a glimpse of her poony in that very short clip!! lol

Also... VOD is model preference I think.
Personally, I prefer VOD is better.. you make extra money so why not? Also is good advertisement.. I often get guys come in and say "hi... nice to meet you, I watched one of your DP videos... lets try and recreate that..only better..." so I am totally happy with it!

Long time ago models could opt out for it - I can't speak for them but i'd guess for privacy reasons? You'd have to ask them... I think there are threads on it already.

Also.. for the bonuses found on the "bonus" panel of studio admin page, you are only eligible for these if you have VOD. (Kind of like, they punish you if you do not have VODs available lol)

also.. if you won one of the contests during a promotion night (like the giant dildo weekend).. you would not get the prize if you do not have VOD.

This guy is notorious for attacking new models and asking her to do these things..
It is assumed he records the vids using a program and posts them for shits and giggles.

Of course, a new model would not know this and complies with it to her limits.

A question for the models on this subject: How many of your customers are VIPs? Registered Users? and Non-registered users logging in for the first time?

I have seen input from 2 other customers, both opposed to the preview, I personally don't care as I said I have my favorites and I will just stay with them because I won't take anyone private that I don't preview as in the past it has been a disaster. I'm sure that many of the other customers are going to feel the same, most of the VIPs I have chatted with have their favorites and most will be more than happy to stay with them. And I seriously doubt that those models will mind.

I think the preview window is a model's best advertisement for her pvt.

What I see in a preview is a crucial determining factor, along with my perception of her in free chat on whether I take a model pvt.

If I peek and see her acting like a dead fish, then I check back another time. I know some guys are willing to pay to sit and talk. If it looks like it's a pattern that is driven by her, and we don't click in free, then I'll give my credits to a girl with more energy.

As far as it goes with other guys seeing my pvt, they don't necessarily know who I am in there, it's still anonymous for me. As long as I'm the one directing the show, then I'm getting what I payed for. Perhaps they'll see something they like that will make them want to take her pvt behind me.

The daily VOD could go a long way as an advertisement for you, but when you label them, it replaces your name. If we don't know who you are, it's difficult to track you down. OK I strayed off topic a bit, but it seemed to fit.

I'll just say, if they take away the preview glimpses, then I'll just have to stick with my tried and true favorites.

No matter what f4f does, they are not going to please everyone 100% of the time, so I'm sure they just try to do what's best for the bottom line, and try find that middle ground that makes it desirable for the models to work here, and for the customers to come see them.

FWIW Sometimes I wonder how you girls put up with us. lol

It's hard to say but obvious alot of you dont have a sales background. People particulary guys buy on impulse. Your complaint that you come out of private and there are 30 guys in your room is EXACTLY what you want. Otherwise, how does a guy come to your room? There's anywhere from 100-120 models on and if a guy finds one he likes he's not going to go switch around rooms, unless theres an incentive. Seeing whats happening in a private and what a girl looks like or how shes performing is that incentive. Scarlet West said it herself there's a bunch of guys in her room after private and a "majority" leaves. Well, that means some don't. Those some are people that probably wouldnt otherwise be in the room. Sales are all about numbers the more people in your room the more will buy. Its that simple.

Sure the tradeoff is some guys get off for free so what? You will have that with anything. On another site I wont mention which they allow nudity in open and one girl CONSISTENTLY does full nude shows in her room in open. Penetration, cums, everything. She has tons of guys that go to her room as soon as she comes online and alot of them jack off for free. How does she do in sales though? She leads the site. The TOP model.

I think I know who you're talking about. You know why she's the top model? Cuz she knows what guys want and she teases them with it. Then she delivers. She knows exactly how a man's sex drive works. When a member asks for something and all you say is "In pvt" you immediately kill the mood. You call them beggars and you complain about how many you have. It's true that some are beggars, but some are potential customers you shut the door on. What a good model does is tease them with it, tell them if they're good you'll oblige or some other witty remark. Keeps the guy in your room with a feeling of expectation. It's because he's found someone who's willing to play with him, not just discard him like a piece of grey trash.

Honestly I think F4F users have been so accustomed to the curtain that it may even be "indoctrinated" on how they view cams on here.

So if it was taken out Users may be reluctant to go prvt because they're used to seeing whichever model in the preview and it might be new territory for them.

But even though I think the curtain is one of the major elements that distinguish F4F from other cam sites - I do think taking it away will not hinder the site's progression in terms of success.

I mean majority of cam sites out there don't use a "Preview type" option and they still are very successful.

Only problem now with taking it out is what I said at the beginning of my post with users being so adapated to the curtain that taking it off at this point may have it's negatives.

But without it like others have said it protects the model/private user, eliminates the users who abuse this feature by using it as a "Freebie", and just makes gives the private session a more personal and confidential feel. After all it is a Private show.

So why not affirm to that notion and consider alternatives to the curtain?

Don't you think if a guy jerks off to the previews,that they also do it in open?
Don't think the quick preview really makes a difference in that case.
What about new models? Without the previews, how would you know what a new model does or doesn't do?
They may say they do this and that, but maybe they don't.
You can't really rely on the customer review (if they even leave one)since apparently bad ones don't show up.

Personally I think the site is perfect with the quick curtain opening 'snapshot' that we have.

I have checked out other sites and 1 if you didnt register and become a member would ONLY allow you to see the chat amd NO video - just a still headshot.
