my family had two dogs growing up, both were shetland sheepdogs (sheltie). currently my little bff is a brussels griffon named GUSTO; seven lbs of pure energy!! although he can be annoying sometimes, when he decides at two o'clock in the morning it would be a good time to play while i'm sound asleep! :orglaugh

I have three dogs and three birds.

A Loud Mouth Border Collie/Aussie Shepard Mix named Louise! She's the light of my life and loves me too!

A pitbull/boxer mix who is the most timid and sweet dog. His name is Johnny. The Most quirky dog I've ever seen. Not pretty, but just flat out cute. His mother and litter mates were so pitiful. Some jerk taped the mother's mouth with duct tape and then threw her and the puppies on to a very busy interstate where a truck driver noticed them and took them to the animal shelter.

A 16 year old Huskie/Chow mix named Jake. He plays like a puppy.

A neurotic cockatiel named Fred. I adopted him from a shelter where he was going to be put down. He was abused and thrown away,

A moody White Cap Pionus Parrot named Prozac Pancho.

An adorable little love bird named Orson. He is yellow like the sunshine and is always happy.

I bought Pancho and Orson. The rest are adopted babies.

Unfortunately I lost two of my birds within months this past year, but both died of old age,,,,,

I have a dog named Athena, and she is one of my prides and joys. Athena is a Belgian Malinois who was originally trained for narcotics, explosives, and police work, then got sick. Now she's the sweetest dog you'll ever meet.

I don't know why i didn't respond earlier i love animals

growing up i had bunnies, hamsters, parakeets, conures, geckos, anoles, skinks, fish, frogs, moon crabs, and of course a doggy and kitty. everything except guinia pigs and ferrets (they don't do it for me)

now i've just got two kitties Solomon (a huge orange maine coon that looks and acts like a golden retreiver) and Pigie a peach tabby that coos like a pigeon when she purrs.

i gave away my parakeets columbus and isabell since my cats were bothering them too much, they're happier now tho.

I used to have 3 Pointers, but lost them in the divorce (custody battle LOL), 3 snakes, 2 cats. Then moved into apartment.
Now, no pets

until I decide where I want to plant my roots again

I will most likely adopt a rescue/shelter dog. I am a dog person.

my kids have a 4 year old papillion named LaPearla. a little red and white 10 lb dog.
Smartest, well mannerd little thing. she acts just like the kids, expects to be treated as one.....
ah hell. she Is one of my kids. i can't buy for one with out buying for the others, and she even asks to put on her jammies at night when the kids are getting ready.

I love animals! I have two jack russells and two stray kitties that I adopted. I grew up on a farm and bottle raised a cow and couple of goats. If I had my way I'd adopt every animal I see lol

If you have visited me then I am sure you know the answer to this since my dogs usually go crazy at some point while I am on or the one that tries to dig a whole in the carpet each night or after noon to where many of you have been like is there an earthquake going on. :winkwink

. I have 3 rescue dogs that mean the word to me they go from small to large. Animals are great companions because they have unconditional love. My mom has a saying up in her house that says something to the effect I can not remember the exact quote but Please God help people to see me the way my dogs see me. ~1 Cali

A Columbian Red Tailed Boa huh? nice! My ex fiance had one of those, which I named Juan Valdez, get it? a columbian snake, and Juan Valdez is the spokesman for Columbian coffee....rough crowd....is...this thing on? hahaha. We also had a parakeet named Bella and Japanese Fighting fish named Fire and Ice, get it? because those kinda fish fight when put in the same take and fire and ice don't mix...

We have a black and white male cat named Simba.... the kids named him, lol. He is the craziest, sweetest, funniest cat I've ever had.
I had 4 others but that was when I lived in Texas- I had to give them away when I moved back to NY

Duke, (aka Fat Boy Slim), Minny Ginny, (full name Virginia Slim), FUBAR (he was all sorts of wierd but loved him so much) and Sassafrass (Sassy for short.) I miss my babies....
I really want to get a chocolate lab puppy, but talking the b/f into it is like trying to persuade a Baptist chick to swallow, lol...

hahahahaha well Kate, if you ever quit this job, I have a feeling you'd make it big as a stand up comedian, very clever names for the animals you had too by the way.

Newest member of my family. A corn snake, Cleatra. Best temperment and loves to wrap around hand and fall asleep while we watch TV. I used to be deathly afraid of snakes.

Two dogs currently - Molly, 7, ylo lab / sharpei mix. Morgan, 5, german shepherd/something mix. Mainly black with brown and some white. Both have purple spots on their tongues.

We have two cats, a one year old male, who attacks as you walk by. He did this last night when I had stockings on, and he just slipped off. It was funny to see him look up at my legs, like "WTF???" We also have a Manx kitten, who is fast as heck, and very limber. Now I know why they are such good hunting cats!!
