Naked and long and lean, you rise from the cool waters of your ocean, standing so strong that my heart leaps and cries at your beauty.

So long together, so very many moods and moments shared; with all of the words woven haphazardly, or agonizingly cautiously, in morning with bright yellow sun, or late at night in the glow of candles, spare gifts to offer you in my admiration for your lovely mind and heart. Saving me several times, making me pause and take stock, and finally setting me to my loom, turning me to a creator. The day that I wandered in, attracted by your face at first, then, singing softly to you, small stories and words, set beside the horror and laughter I was able to unleash in your now fast moving room, at that first few times so long ago, slowed and tentative, that first day will always be in my weave, and in my heart. Thank you again.

In some other time, would we have been sisters? Lovers? A pairing of friends? I know that over time, I've woven all of them, and always will. You are there in it all, whether as a figure, or a description of sun or wind or water; yes, I think always as the water; in every line and rhyme and comma and gently tilted emotion. That's you in there.

I love you girl, and you are my pride and joy.

*your words are rushing and crashing and flowing black and white... meaning and roaring noises and the sound of shards of glass on concrete floors.. and 'love' and excitement and a dog barking and 'how' and some subtle differences each time we meet.. riddles without questions and .. your sleeping face waking.. you in a shower.. our conversation's shy sifts from topic to topic.. and wondering at the reflections in eyes.. and the shading of smiles*

*patterns always patterns; riddles aren't solved by wit or resonance only by test test of patterns, riddles require suggestion, directions held softly in words, clothing in colors timing in tepid clutches of lovers*
*solution we are not lovers known small priceless pebbles scattered on the grey sands you walked upon that one day that you remember with friends and lovers around you*
*solution refined tastes and experiences denied so many experiences shoveled into a tight expanse of time*

*my moans in a dark room where light leaks from a slight sliver of part in the curried braided brown hair from coll to crest to withers where do we lay together*
*solution in words where we wander only in the skipping faulty time of my mind*

*tears fall when you touch patterns of expression and movement and coy use of languid hand kabuki of sorrow white hands on bruised lip*
*solution when uncertain try again later with certainty comes cessation slivers of glass beneath the feet*

*standing on a promontory harsh hot winds the flapping cracking whipping sounds of bright scarlet cloth thick pointed grass beneath unshod feet*
*solution alone in art*

hmmm *gesture* *eye.movement* *emotion* *lip.movement* *angle.of.light*

really?

ohhhhh sara (looking)(deep)(your.eyes)

can we do anything about how our hearts
burn and fall?
is there any way to make it stop?
any way at all?

read all of me, what i sing and say
you and i talk almost every day.
don't you know from all i write
how i burn through day and night?

please love me as you will
my heart it breaks and then it fills.
the only true thing about me here
is hope and love; inside my fear.

The Final Act - Pox-Eclypse

She sitin now, that tall gone older woman, her own birthed one tight on her lap all warm held safe loved. Before her theys all a-gathered, small cluster love pairs and partnered birthed ones. Youngest closer now, where she sits with her own smallest one

This you knows. The years travel fast.

And time after time

I've done the Tell.

But this ain't one body's Tell.

It's the Tell of us all.

And you got to listen it and 'member.

'Cause what you hears today,

you got to tell the newborn tomorrow.

I's looking behind us now,

into history back.

I sees those of us that got the luck

and started the haul for home.

It lead us here and we was heartful

'cause we seen what there once was.

One look, and we knewed

we'd got it straight.

Those what had gone before had knowing

of things beyond our reckoning. . .

. . .even beyond our dreaming.

Time counts and keeps counting.

And we knows now. . .

. . .finding the trick of what's

been and lost ain't no easy ride.

But that's our track.

We got to travel it.

And there ain't nobody knows

where it's gonna lead.

Still and all, every night

we does the Tell. . .

. . .so that we 'member who we was

and where we came from.

But most of all we 'members

the man who finded us...

...him that came the salvage.

And we lights the city.

Not just for him...

...but for all of them

that are still out there.

'Cause we knows

there'll come a night...

... when they sees the distant light...

...and they'll be coming home.

Tall girl lookin down then, blue eyes soft turned on she who is hers, gone to soft smiles and tender touches. She members.
