Is it me, or am I the only person who can never the Technical Support person from f4f to reply to me when I contact them on icq?????? :helpme

In my use of ICQ technical support,they appear to respond about 50% of the time. Twice I needed them ASAP to help a model and the responded once.

rarely they answer there only seems to be 2 really helpful friendly tech staff there who dont always seem to be online sadly most will ignore

ive written emails about this on many occasions but never heard from them either so i give up

often i find the messenger you get a response from if you are going to get one is if you add the AIM nickname to your ICQ which is vsmediahelp that is the one i use as the ICQ one never answers the times ive got a response have been with the AIM one

The most reliable way to get assistance is to use our contact form which sends an email to our support queue. All of these emails are tracked to ensure that a reply is given in a timely manner.
Our support department works hard to answer emails as quickly as possible. With instant messages they can get dropped and never arrive or get sent to the wrong computer. If you don't get an immediate response when sending an IM, please follow-up with an email so that we can address whatever issue you may be experiencing.

thanks brad but with respect i have often found customer service dont respond i have even had automatic read reciepts from my email client telling me that they have been deleted unread..i dont expect reply to general feedback etc but if i ask a question i expect a reply in at least a week sooner if important..also following up an unreplied ICQ message is fine if it was a tech enquiry but if urgent room help is required then an email isnt any use

Personally, I don't like the ICQ installed client, so I use ICQ2GO (go.icq.com)- it's a java version so you don't need to install anything.

I can't find the IM addys anymore - was AIM the other option? You could probably use GAIM or Google to contact that address (because, again, the AIM client can come with unwanted extras)

It would help if they used Yahoo though

i have the advantage of being able to call on the phone. I have to say they are extremely helpful and the calls are very short. I suspect that they would like to be as helpful with other methods of communication also.

OMG Slite....... thank you !!!!!!!!! It really does make sense to read old threads sometimes................ I have been using a friggin Swedish version of ICQ on my computer as my OS no longer can support the updated or available English versions... If you were a girl.... I always wondered about you mate really :evil

.... okay joking apart mate ...

They reply on ICQ I find if im asking some question , normally i'm bothering them to ban some dummy or a room is locked up on the system ... so don't always expect a reply , because they check things out in the room as I see and all is well..

Also things you have to respect too the Tech support are also answering calls, Monitoring, helping a model or studio with tech problems or other guests at the time , so a little patience sometimes is needed ... also as Brad said sometimes you may find messages don't get there that's the nature of I.M's sometimes ...

I don't have a problem with Support being on ICQ i find them very helpful there and very happy to see they are using it again there was a short period of time they stopped using I.M's and geeze did that make a mess :-/ I ended up on the phone from UK saying help some model is freaking out about X and X ... God save us from them days again :bowdown

... and my English accent must be so funny for the american tech support and I always worry did they understand me :orglaugh

SO N2 don't send tech support back to the DARKSIDE! :orglaugh

Forgot to add I had to call them on Friday night regarding yes The_Slut_Killer flooding @@@@@@'s AGAIN! you all have seen him do that i'm sure, they were not on ICQ at time but I did realise a vs_kalinka or some nick like that was monitoring on and off in that room at time and doing a great job too

....

N2 I just wanted to add I spoke to her and DAMN she did have the sexiest voice I ever heard (I almost forgot why I called herROFL, and yes I mumbled on the phone grrrr, sure she thought what a weirdo)

..... Maybe she needs to stay off ICQ when working LOL that way can call her more :orglaugh

I'm trying to justify why this thread is here for you now N2 DAMN she sounded like a Female Chat Performer to me or could be one..... Maybe give her a call N2 :winkwink

Hopefully this is not to be a trend as other sites have done of no TRUE online support for customers or models... if it is the birthing of such an ill-conceived notion.. please Brad... don't do that to your customers or to your models! Especially your models... some of them are not given access by their studios to control their own rooms. If you want to get rid of or reduce access to online technical supoort... then you should also remove access to free chatters... Not a notion I am seeking approval of.. but it sure would eliminate the burden on said technical support.... :twocents

Many good points raised here. I can see Brad's point about IM's and using email. Tech support have been pretty good at replying reasonably promptly when I've emailed them, but I'm not sure I'd rely on it for something really urgent like getting slut_killer removed.

In the' poor monitoring' thread in the general discussion forum, Brad has said that there is going to be a big announcement regarding monitors etc. on Monday; so maybe we'll get some news regarding this as well.

I understand your point of view, Caiaphas. Stopping the greys would reduce the burden on tech support and the monis. I'm sure many VIPs and some models would welcome it... it would certainly eliminate our 3 biggest irritants :thumbsup

Unfortunately it would also hit a lot of innocent greys, who may someday take the plunge and become VIPs.

I'm sure Brad has the figures that will probably show that despite all the trouble they can cause, the greys are worth keeping.

The few times I hae contacted Customer suport has been via email and I have recieved a reply within 24 hours each time

I don't know it exectly, but as far as i know the greys in Group Chat are in the normal Open Room, where they can't see anything. If you're logged in and talk to a GC girl and see a grey he's just typing in his text in the normal open chat window without the video (only a pic of the model is appearing and a text who tells the user that she is in a gc). So it shouldn't be a hacker.
