I can't quite figure out the appeal of semi-private rooms. Sure, the price is lower. But

a) I don't know what goes on there

b) I can't really see what the model looks like (photos, while nice, can be deceiving)

c) I can't see what (s)he's wearing, which has a lot of appeal for me. (Some sites have photo archives that can be updated from the cam software, so even though you can't peek into the room, you can see some images provided by the model.)

I get that it's supposed to be a lower cost option, and therefore fewer perks. But I'm not asking for perks. I wanna know if what's going on is going to appeal to me. As it is, I can't even chat with the models, can I?

So... am I missing something? Does anyone else visit semi-private models?

Frankly, if I have an accurate view of the semi-private experience, then I'd just as soon not have them in my list of models. They're just clutter. Quote

Someone must visit them if they're still here ;)

I believe it's a good option if a model goes sometimes normal private, sometimes semi-private - that way you can have a cheap private with the model you got to know and like Quote

It helps develope models when Regular chat is too much
It also allows the to Broadcast to more than 1 site [What I heard many times - not a known fact]

It alllows only the member to see thier chat
It is at lower price
It also allows many in there
1 model was VERY financially successful . There were often 5 - 20 people in her room .

I tried semi only 1 time
There is no Tip option
The model was typing fast to several members . It was not a good experience to me

It works for some. I once saw 17 models in Semi . Many couples are there
1 member goes into Semi to arrange a Private .

More options allows a better fit for more members Quote

It is an option that has no appeal to me, but like it's been said, it does to some.

Sure it's a less expensive option, but personally, if I'm paying, I want to be the one in control. If a girl is in semi-pvt, I'm assuming she is trying to please everyone (impossible), or has picked someone in the crowd to pay more attention to, or perhaps doing her own thing, or maybe even just hanging out like the other girls do in free chat.

The only way I would be willing to pay to go in there is if I knew the girl, and I knew I would be the "chosen one" that she wants to connect to.

But then again, many use it, so it must appeal to some on both sides of the screen.

That's what makes this place great. More options for more people. What appeals to me, may not appeal to you. You do your thing I'll do mine.

I do hate it when I see a model I might like to meet in there. Luckily, I haven't seen any of my favs in there, so I haven't had to face that dilemma.

I don't see why anyone would pay to see and talk to a semi-private model if they didn't already know her.
It would be very nice if every once in awhile , they would come out and join us in free chat.

Think it would benefit the model, to let the customers see and chat with them in open.
It would give us some sense, of what she is like.
It would also more likely get them quite a few pvts too. Quote
