This morning we rolled out the first way to redeem points as part of the game we introduced earlier this week. You can now use your points to boost a performer's "Power Score"!

Each performer has a power score (just a number really) that we use whenever we need to sort performers for display on the site like the home page, model list, etc. The higher the score, the further towards the top a performer appears on the page.

This power-score concept for performers has been around for over a year and is recalculated every 10-minutes. The score is based on things like paid shows, VOD, gifts, etc. for the most recent 168 hour (7-day) window ... keeping the data fresh.

Using this new tool you can redeem points you've earned via game-play to boost the score of your favorite performers, thus helping them rank higher on the site and get added visibility. Every performer is very aware of their power score and would love help improving it!

As you need to add the model to your favorite list to boost the "power-score" you have to be VIP to spend your accumulated points. Once again we "standard pales" stay outside and have to be bad fans. I hope to get also the possibility to boost my fav - without getting yellow again

Yes, that was my mistake. We'll make it similar to the virtual gifting interface where you can choose any performer. Should be out by later today.

"Daily Chatting
Earn 60 points for BEING IN THE SYSTEM for two-hours (consectuive). Limit once per day."

can u cheat by just logging in and stay on the main page while u wait 2 hours for your fave model to show up :P or do u actually have to be in a room? Afterall if u r logged in ...you are in the system

After boosting a models power rating my points for that model in the top fans decreased. Is this a glitch or is this how the promotion works? Will rankings be affected by the points decrease?

I noticed that as well when I did a power boost a few days ago. I figured it was just a coincidence that my ranking fell a few spots but then again, maybe not. Also, I no longer see that model on my top 10 list of models in terms of points.

yeah I understand points dropping but does this affect ranking based on points? Losing a place by helping boost power ranking is counter intuitive.

Using Points
The points you earn in the game count towards your rank in a performer's fan club whenever the points can be associated with a model. As well, you can redeem your points for the items below.

Power Score Boosts
* NOTE: Redeeming points does not affect your ranking in the #1 fan section because we only use "points earned" for those calculations.

This is found when you go to your account overview and click the link "view details and redeem points now" in the section Game Points :thumbsup

Seems a bit of a contradiction that you lose fan points/rank by showing your a fan and giving them a boost.

You do not lose points when you boost a performer, those points are simply not available to be used for another boost.

Imagine a ledger with positive and negative entries. The positive entries are from when you earn points, the negatives are from when you use them (boosts).

When we compute the fan rankings we only use the positive entries.

When you go to boost we take the sum of all entries (positive and negative) to arrive at the total available points you have to boost a performer.

So say a model's #1 fan used all of his points to boost his favorite. His rank would not change (assuming nobody else earned more points than him) ... he would simply have 0 points left to do more boosts until he earned more.

A few days ago I saw bar to type in models name I want to boost. Who stole it? I want my boost possibility back and offer a reward of 77.73 boost points to catch him .... dead or alive :mad
