I am so tired of being the loyal rock. The guy who is always there to cheer her up and make things better no matter... I love her with all my heart, and I just can't keep acting like I am happy for her. I guess I am selfish, and want her to be mine. I just can't imagine my life without her in it, but I can't keep feeling like I will never be good enough for her. And I just can't keep dreaming of what could be. From the bottom of my heart she used to feel like my soul-mate, but lately she seems like a stranger... There is just no joy in our interactions anymore, but I just can't let her go. The hole in my heart would be too large to fill!!! Quote

I think a lot of us have felt this way at one time or another. I know I have on multiple occasions.

I read what you wrote, and my heart goes out to you. Does she know how you feel? Sometimes,it is better to just get it off your chest,and tell her how you feel. Tell her that it is tearing you apart. If she really does see you as her rock, she will not easily let you walk away. Maybe she just needs to know how you feel. You might be the listening ear, and shoulder to cry on, but that is more important than you could ever know. It sounds like you are a beautiful person with an amazing heart. Every woman should be as lucky. And if she doesn't realize that, it is her loss.

This happened to me here. As much as I wanted this woman, we both knew that we wouldn't be happy with just one person in love. It sounds like the love with your friend was a one way street as well. The hole in your heart is understandable and will only be filled by reciprocated love. The illusion here is that by taking a model private or being their friend will somehow translate into a fulfilling relationship. It rarely happens! I changed for the better knowing how difficult it is to fall in love here. I decided that I would be less selfish and give only friendship for friendship, love for love and money for privates. It's very easy to confuse all of the above on this site.
