For example you want to learn russian, You get a calendar and every day you learned 2 hours russian you mark that day on your wall calender with an x. you try to make a long string of x's so the longer you make it the more eager you are to make the x string longer and longer without braking the chane,


you can use it for addictions too, like smoking or not playing video games, watching porn ect
