So after spending a good twenty minutes writing a reply in the forum that I thought to be kinda clever (which means absolutely not but I'm more than happy with subpar work) I forgot to copy and paste all of my work.. which proved a completely fatal error as I was treated with the complete loss of everything I'd just written, and a friendly reminder from the family-conscious good guys at the site that my post contained the forbidden, naught-to-be-uttered word we never ever mention on, around or within a 300 yard vicinity of, this site - ch*ldren (eeek!)

Which makes me a bit more than mad, mostly because it affected my post which was a complete waste of time as I had other things I could have been doing like reading a Wikipedia article on the origin of the tiddlywink or masturbating to the voice of the lady describing an amethyst pendant on QVC because I can't find the controller and the model I was talking to is in private curtains-drawn chat for six hours straight. But also because I just find it completely and unjustifiably stupid that we can chat endlessly about women or men sticking any number of objects big or small, short or tall, round or square, without or with hair, into god knows where, but mention a perfectly sane word on here without any negative context and the censors completely delete your post. Not only that, but most who are victim to the incomprehensive censorship of such trivial words find an easy way around them, so how effective are they anyway (except to annoy without end the occasional dolt who forgets to copy and save his text before sending...)?

It's a grown up website. Can we please lose the censor, or at least not delete one's message and then give a quick reply, "Oops, looks like we had to delete that masterpiece because you had the word 'j3welry' in it".. just seems entirely unworthwhile, especially seeing the words that do make it through.

However I have found when this happens to me I can just hit the Back key on my browser and the post reappears. I simply amend the restricted words and post again

I had a post censored because I used the word chil-ren. Put a "d" in there (for the incredibly dense). I just had it censored again trying to make this post, and the back button got me a blank screen.

Let's see. Fuck, shit, bastard, cunt, pussy, toe-sucking frog humper.

Apparently I owe Ophelias Rue an apology. Rue, I said that you were a cause for this forum to be a ghost town. I was wrong. I sincerely apologize for my mistake and I am not being sarcastic. The lame double standard for posting here is clearly more of a reason why posters would get frustrated and move on. This was unclear to me before, but it is crystal clear to me now. I hope that you accept my apology and you feel my attempt to make amends sufficient.

Now I am going to go calm down by going and watching a Ukrainian girl furiously pump a dildo in her ass. Hopefully she keeps her language "clean."

Perhaps we need the (whatever number it ends up to be ) list of words that will get your post deleted on the flirt for free forums. The words that will end democracy, enable the terrorists to conquer the world, that will make even the strong vomit in revulsion, VS, list these words for us so we don't accidentally end the world as we know it.

Talking about not being able to use certain words, and threads not being posted the first time after it has, then going back to redo the thread again, I don't know, when it started happening, but it has happened to me two, or three times recently. I typed a word in a thread, and after I've finished what I wanted to say to post it comes up with an error, and what the word is.

No, I didn't miss the point at all. Maybe you missed the point that I totally agreed with amicu. And just to make my self totally clear, I think the whole idea of any sort of word censorship in these forums is ludicrous. However I seem to be fortunate in that my Back button actually does what it is intended to do so that I don't lose a post when the system censors it

I was using Firefox, the back button and Redo function (Ctrl+y or Ctrl+r) weren't functioning. None of the shortcut keys seemed to do the trick when looking them up either. So it may be OJ that you were using a snazzy web-browser, maybe Safari or Opera are a little friendlier when that happens, or I have a feature turned off of Mozilla that I want turned on.

I was using good ole Internet Explorer 8. I have tried other browsers but always come back to IE8

YUP 100% agree it is a total joke this bug in the system, I have lost count how many times it's lost my replies after clicking send. It does not just lose them if there is a censored word but loses them if you spend too long typing them or open another tab with the forums..

VS please fix it it goes back to the main login promo page every time it loses what we type. Also if the words are censored maybe make the system add stars to the words instead of dropping the whole text. Only forum on the internet I keep hitting CTRL + V on everytime I type something. :mad

I have highlighted this thread to the site, please do the same if you are also tired of it. I hate typing long technical help on the tech forums and after maybe an hour of typing one click loses it all and sometimes I can't be bothered retyping it and some poor customer or performer loses the help they were asking for.
