So what is up with the non-talkers? I mean they just sit in the room. Some just to collect points I guess. It is just very rude to just sit there and not talk. I do not understand how a model can dress up, have sound on, and try to interact with them, they just sit there, then turn around and go to another models room where the model is just sitting there, not talking to you the customer, and you tip the hell out of the model.

Can somebody please explain this to me?

Performers let me know if you get this in your rooms.

Customers, let me know if you have seen this, or if you have done this, and why?

I'm sure someone will link you to threads where this topic has been dicussed, strangely enough I wa just talking to a model about this last night

but this happens in EVERY models room, it's just part of working this kind of job, I agree it is rude and kinda pervy to sit quietly and say nothing, but there is really three options I see for the models:
1. call them out and see if they say something when you adress them
2. ingnore them
3. ban them (my favorite) :P

well ...i dont know why secretchatter post that ...he stayed a whole day in my room without talking...and now the question ..whats the point of this thread if u do what other members do ?starin and not talking ....(winks)

Well since I never sit in a models room for a whole day, I would first say that is an exaggeration. Secondly, if I choose to use this name on the site, I onlyyy use it when talking to the model, well as a secret chatter. Third, if I did pop in a room, it was because a model logged out, ...as I rarely use this name. So my point is you did not see me, or you saw an imposter. So okay as my point I asked first hand... back to the topic now....

Well Sorry Amira, and Timbo. I just went and checked her profile out. I do not think I ever even entered here room. so yeah...

but yes timbo I saw your 3 points was saying and yeah can ignore them, but that not seem to do anything, as they are not talking anyways. yeah I have seen models also greet them, but then they still sit there. as far as banning them, that is okay I guess seems harsh, but also that can have negative effects back to the model.

What's happened to 'silence is golden' ?
One would think it'd be prefered;
It was Mark Twain himself that said, "It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.�

lol yes I like that, it is true...but dead silence in a room to where there is no interaction with the model is kind of disrespectful to the model. but normally in everyday, yes silence is golden (unless the person's silence means they are getting into trouble..)

It is a pleasant thing to walk into a room where there is a discussion and sit down quietly in the back to enjoy it without taking part. To enjoy the relaxed pace in the off time that speaks of freedom. To observe and think instead of to act.

Manners are important but subjective. We all should try to meet in the middle. The customer enjoys walking through the store, enjoying the shop, without always yacking it up with the shopkeep. Is that so awful?

There are also the unexpected spider attack, the phone, the pizza at the door, the sudden ache in the typing fingers...

There are also the strumming of the guitar with the sound off, the playing of drinking games involving this or that occurrence, and the playing of characters... some requiring suspense.

Man was not made to walk in one rut. He requires the ability to scream and to whisper, to run and to crawl, to hurdle and to stagger. It is part of his greatness... his complexity....

yes it is nice and sometimes polite to enter room and not interrupt the conversation, I do agree. but if it is silent, it is more polite to say hello and talk to the model.

and in this case not talking to the "shopkeeper", the model, is kinda rude...and well on the line of creeper. So talking is nicer.

now using the shopping analogy ... you shop when you look at the icons...

now if you got put in the room when another model logged out, the politely leave...

but if you choose to enter that room...you already made that choice, so why not interact with the model?

as far as the pizza, or phone.. it is okay to say BRB (be right back), if you think longer then 5 minutes then leave the room and come back in the room when ready to interact again.

so I not understand, if you are not going to interact with the model, why did you enter the models room? (ignoring the random entering from another logging out part)

I look at it as if you are not going to interact with that model...then just don't enter the room

Ok I see where you are coming from and to some degree agree. But not fully. When I choose to enter a room I have shown some interest but I still don't know until I see the model that day how I feel about things. I may already know the model, or have just seen the headshot, but there is still that - "how are things today" variable unresolved. If she isn't in the best of moods. If I am meeting her the first time and don't like what she says in chat to others... Or if I am just wanting to take a peek at a new face and quickly exit before going on to do something else.

Why not interact even so? Well, frankly, if I don't want to take the model private after my brief look you will get the boring, and unfun exchange: "Hi hon, Hi dear, how are u? good u? where u from ? from B and u? Wanna take me private? * insert lame excuse here *

I think most models would rather I just snuck out the back door without having to go through that rigamorol. Unless things are soooooooo quiet that you can hear the paint dry. For every rule of thumb there is an exception.

So lurking, especially really brief lurking, seems better than the alternative many times.
