Due to the popularity of the Anger Thread we feel it is wise at this time to open what should be considered a sub-thread of that wonderful thread. This sub-thread is dedicated to those that have moved beyond recognizing and actualizing their anger and now just want to SMITE some subset of creation. However, in the spirit of the Anger Thread this thread is designed to concentrate that SMITING into safe productive channels instead of having it leak out into unconstrained SMITING that the Anger Thread in fact was designed to prevent.

So SMITE away in the direction that the Holidays lead you. SMITE for the time is right. SMITE because you need to release that mall induced stress and your scream therapy can only do so much. SMITE my lovely lumpkins because you only have one life and there is only so much time to SMITE.

Targets... suitable targets... Isn't that what makes it difficult to get some good SMITING in?

Our primitive ancestors had it so easy you may think. They were unconstrained by our modern sensibilities. In fact I bet a lot of you have quite primitive images come flaring into your feverish brains when you first hit upon SMITING.

But the modern thinker realizes that he need not prey upon those weaker, slower, or otherwise disadvantaged for his SMITING... there are a whole host of nonbreathing, inanimate things that could serve even the most finicky SMITER. Giving him real pleasure.

For are there not bad ideas, tempting tottering constructs of shoddy idea smiths? Yes arguments that are foul and sloppy give great satisfaction to the SMITER who seeks to find the most effective destructive counter. Who watches in delight as some ill constructed thing bursts asunder from the cannonade of his carefully placed shots. And can anyone call him cruel, the most common insult hurled at the SMITER for taking such a creature off to oblivion?

So now the modern man has advantage over the primitive. For tho he must labor to select his targets carefully, to be just, to be fair, to be compassionate.... he has been trained to tackle far more foes than his ancestors and can appreciate his success more deeply...

hmmm, well ok Kertzum, I kinda know the kinda thread you're talkin' about, but I kinda don't ...

If a thread was smiling after a smiting that wouldn't have been a vigorous smiting would it? It could only have been, in my opinion, a kinda delicate smiting to leave it still smiling. Aren't we supposed to be talkin' about vigorous smitings here?

Seems like the powers that be have already caught the Smiting bug as the Cam Model joke thread has been Smote by lightning.

Jeffie its kinda like a slave thread, a thread that is subservient to a masterful thread .... a thread that should b whipped and SMITTEN! but a thread that smiles after the whippin' ... u know the kinda thread I'm talkin' about ...

Oh lucky art thou that the powers that be have removed my post deletion capability... For very first thing this morning I tried to SMITE your post back to the Stone Age. Ohhhh the frustration of a spoiled SMITE!

When you SMITE you must be careful that it is a SMITE in the sense of a deity... a finalizing stroke that leaves no remnants to avenge the SMITING. No offspring to wreak bl00dy havoc on the SMITER.

I rate your SMITING at Volsung level in treachery... for you have raised your hand against the fruit of your loins... against the first son of your progeny.... against the heir to your estates.

For sub... in this case has no other meaning than descendent by branching from... as it turns out... a vicious conniving ancestor jealous of the more primal and focused nature of his ch1ld. Who far from needing the nurturing of a proud parent is ready to strike out on his own now and develop as a new breed. Divorcing itself from a parent that is smitten with himself.

Ah the SMITING polygon has become a quadrangle.

Your SMITE rates Odin level for cleverness and for ambush factor. Oh but how treacherous you are to the thread that feeds you. Now you can trust few in your hall and must always have shifty eyes.

True... is a lesson for us all. No trace left. Completely gone.

That SMITE is rated at the Greenland level. Gone without a trace.

Chauncy: Hello.

Thor: Yes. What do you want?

Chauncy: Do you know Rafael?

Thor: *after pause* Yes. Yes I do.

Chauncy: I have a message for him.

Thor: He's not in here.

Chauncy: Oh. I understand.

Thor: Do you feel like a good SMITING?

Chauncy: I don't know what that is.

Thor: Oh...

Chauncy: Is there TV in there?

Thor: No only SMITING.

Chauncy: OK then. I understand.

Thor: Bye bye.

Chauncy: Oh tell Rafael I was here will you?

Thor: Yeah.. Yeah...

The baby harp seals cowered in the corner of the ice sheet. The Time of Vengeance had come.

The rabid polar bears, drool dripping from their toothy chops, let loose fusillade after fusillade from the flame throwers they clutched in rage shaking paws. Deep grunts of fury issued forth from bl00d streaked muzzles as they fired and fired... singeing the now sooty ice with seal blubber and calcified tears.

And they could not dive into the cold cold Sea of Death to escape for the equally vengeful orcas prowled hungrily... waiting for a desperate pup to try its luck.

Oh you foolish seals... why did you anger the gods? Why did you tempt Fate? Your late night opium crazed orgies... your unrestrained swearing... your wearing of polar bear fur and shark teeth necklaces was your undoing.

Now die. Die hard. Smitten by the Great White predators. Offer up your very souls as penance for most foolish acts.
