The performer then receives a portion of the viewing/purchasing receipts for the videos which are made available (as does the client who ‘directed’ the show in the video). This policy enables the performer to earn additional income - with no additional labor - and reduces the net cost to the client who originally paid for the show.
A single sample frame from the video is then placed as a link on the performer’s bio page. This has two potential benefits:
(1) The potential viewer/purchaser is made aware of the video’s availability.
(2) It provides additional opportunity to attract potential clients who are scouting the pages for performers of interest.
Recently, however, on several occasions I have asked performers why they did not have videos displayed on their bio pages. They have generally been surprised by the question and told me they knew nothing about the show recordings or about their options and potential income. It seems that some studios don’t want to be bothered with the VOD process and don’t tell the performers about it - and thus deprive the performers of potential income to which they are entitled.
(Or perhaps it is corporate that is dropping the ball on this?)
CLIENTS: If you don’t see VODs available on your favorite’s bio page, ask her why. If you get the same surprise and lack of knowledge answer I encountered, encourage them to talk with their manager or corporate about it. Send a message to F4F yourself expressing your support for your favorite model(s). Post a note about your experience and opinion here so corporate can get the message that action is needed. And consider viewing/purchasing VODs for use at your convenience when your favorite model is not online. (An added benefit is that the cost of viewing/purchasing a video will nearly always be less expensive than paying for a live show.)
PERFORMERS: If you are not getting the input you should have into the handling of your videos or the income from them you are entitled to, talk to your manager or corporate. Encourage your regular clients to speak up on your behalf either directly to F4F or by posting their message here (or both would be good too). You are certainly welcome to add your voice here too, if you choose.
Let’s all pull to get this changed. Everyone will benefit.
(NOTE: I have not used any performer names or their countries/studios here because I did not ask their permission to do so. If I should happen to be in your chat, I would be happy to talk/whisper with you about your experience and opinion in this matter - in confidence, if you wish). Quote

Kinda makes you wonder since the models knew nothing about the VODs, where the money from the sale of the videos went to

What I find aggravating is to "make room" they purge VODs of ours from a couple of years ago, but in the archives you will find 10-15+ year old VODs of models that are long retired and members that are also long gone, and none of us are interested in.

If I remember correctly, when the purge occurred VIP's videos were not affected. I've been a perpetual VIP member sine the second month I joined over 4 years ago and I've only lost one VOD, and that was Feb. 28th this year when all the "backlog' caused many to be delayed as much as a week for some.. If I understand correctly, F4F will have yearly purge of all VOD's not purchased with credits in your collection, or protected by VIP membership. So... that being said if you want to keep your videos, you should buy them with credits, or maintain VIP membership..
I do agree that all the 10-15 year old should be purge ass the quality is much less desirable to watch with all the new technology we have today.

In connection with your comment here, A couple years ago I found on My #1 favorite model's bio page a number of VOD's for sale. Knowing how she felt about it as she asked me not to reveal our personal activity, I told her of them.. She immediately contacted here administrator and had them removed. A couple months later I did a search of here screen name on G**gle and I found 2 well known porn sites with 11 minute video of her in private show with F4F advertising at the beginning and end of the video. I informed her of that and contacted her administrator and they have been removed also.. Needless to say these ladies should be made aware of any attempt to use their videos of private shows for sale or advertising purposes. Especially on highly public porn sites.. I know I wouldn't want any of my shows with her gone public even though I can't be seen, I can be heard... BTW I do weekly searches for her to keep her informed of any activity other than in her on private room..

Do you know that YOU can control if any of your VODs are seen by others, even if the model allows them.
If you review your vault, most of the VODs say 'Ineligible' under them. This means that the model / the studio, does not allow the videos to be viewed by anyone other than the director.
If you do not see this 'ineligible' label, and you won't see it on videos made in the past 24 hours, but if after that you still don't have the ineligible label, that means these videos can be seen / purchased by other members, after the first 24 hours, but YOU CAN BLOCK THEM.
Just click the Don't Share option directly below the model's name. Simply click this, and you've blocked the video from being seen by anyone other than you (and the model and her studio).
As a matter of fact,, if you want, you can go ahead and click this Don't Share immediately once they become available, even if the model blocks the videos herself. Perhaps sometime in the future something with the model changes, and her studio releases her videos to be seen, yours will still be blocked.

Yes I am aware of that, and I do click "Don't Share" on all that I c2c with mic on. Usually just my #1 + #2 favorites. But if it's done without the model's knowledge, who's to say it won't be used as advertisement/promo even if not shared?? If I hadn't found it and reported it would she have ever known, or worse yet a family member etc. found it.???
