great conversation piece mark! its too bad there haven't been more people chiming in on it.
let's look at the reality of this site: it's all about sales, it is 100% commission based. similar to car sales, furniture sales, real estate, food servers, etc only this sale is based on sexual fantasy. F4F is going to pay it's better sales people more since they bring in more money for the site - as much fun as it is, it still is plain and simply a business. ever walk into a car dealership and see the "#1" seller awards or employee of the month awards? they are there to reward the better sales people and ultimately draw potential clients to those salespeople because there is a greater chance that the better salesperson is going to make a sale than the bad salesperson is. so ultimately someone who is better at their job is going to make more money.
don't get me wrong now, i'm not saying that non-premiere models deserve less or aren't as important. my favorite just made the leap to premiere and she is hardly ever in the top 20, so i think you can believe me when i say that i don't think anything less of non-premiere models. but if you look at it from a business angle: if you get more sales (for whatever reason) than you are going to be rewarded more. being a business owner i can understand that. i have many friends that are great, great people but couldn't sell a glass of water to a man in the desert.
i work in sales myself and have worked damn hard to climb the ladder and become the best sales person in our company (and i'm not being arrogant, i've got the numbers to back me up), so i get a better schedule and better opportunities because of it. all things being equal, yes, everyone is the "same", but all things are not equal and the business owner is only concerned about the bottom line. is it fair? no, but life never has been. this world has always catered to the stronger, faster, hotter, richer person - just the way it is. i stopped preaching equality years ago and decided that life was never going to switch over to the "everyone is equal" mindset, so i might as well take advantage of any angle i could get. some models make half their money on guys who take them pvt for hours upon hours every week. so those other models are working WAY harder to get the same amount of minutes in pvt as the other models who are chillin, talking on the phone for hours. it's not fair, but it's just the way it is sometimes. F4F is here to make money, not make friends. so while we develop a personal relationship with the models we visit and hope the best for them, i think it would be fair to say that the higher powers and flirt have maybe, MAYBE visited 10% of the models who have ever been on this site and i doubt they even notice when models leave.
i don't disagree with your viewpoint mark, just wanted to show the other side of the coin too. if that is what is said to grey members about premiere, then my problem doesn't lie with them promoting the premiere model, they need to re-word it so it's less offensive to grey users
i'm not here to re-start the great debate on why some models start right away and go premiere. but the way premiere was originally set up, the method makes sense. not having greys in premiere is a luxury for the model as she doesn't have to deal with anyone who hasn't proven that they won't go pvt, thus increasing the pvt % for the model. it's all a business, and just like in life not all aspects will be agreed upon by everybody, but i think of all the web-cam websites out there F4F has done the best job of keeping the fairness level closer to "on point" than any of the other ones.
