Girls - I wonder have you ever had a crash on guy who wasn't consider as a typical good looking guy. If yes - why?

Actually I have never had a crash on typical hot stuff :helpme

For example me - I was often attracted by shorter than me guys. Guys with glasses. And by guys with broken noses :bowdown

I have never had a specific type.... over the years I've been with everything from a 5 ' 7 dark Italian guy to a 6 '4 blond blue eyed dude. I've dated short, tall, long hair, short hair, black, white..... I guess I like my variety, lol.

For me, it's more about what's on the inside than the outside. Someone who may not have been particularly attractive to me may suddenly turn "gorgeous" if I have an intimate conversation with him and discover his intelligence and sincerity.

Present me with an Adonis type who has the dazzling smile and charming good looks, okay, great- he's nice to look at, but is he going to treat our waitress with respect and thoughtfulness? Show me a dude that's plain, nondescript or average, okay he may not be society's definition of beautiful, but if he bends down to speak to my wheelchair bound grandmother and makes her eyes sparkle- he just became Robert Redford in my eyes.

Insides, people. Outsides age and wrinkle. Insides will always be fresh and new. :winkwink

I don't like guys who look to good to be true, I don't like the macho man type.

A guy in a train with dreamy brown eyes, looking outside the window with a book in his hand will def catch my eye.He may be not so good looking, but for me is sexy, the way he seems alittle upset, maybe a little worried about the universe problems. I like intelligent guys. I love when they make me laught.

Reading through this thread it makes me think that all the ladies posting prefer a guy thats a little rough around the edges but has a heart of gold and not a mr smooth James Bond copy with a heart of stone who is eyeing up the waitress as you have a meal.

I have always stood by this. "looks will put you in the doorway and personality will walk you through it" It doesn't matter what the person look like to me, but it is a fact that you have to be attracted to the person to develop some sort of relationship with them. Whenever someone asks me what I look for in a guy I always have the same answer and it is "nothing" if you look for one characteristic or (what they look like).. in someone that is the only thing you will look for and it will overshadow everything else. Everyone has SOMETHING to make them and special and different from one another. Beauty fades, money isnt always there and in the end I just want a companion who I will be able to talk to, and enjoy each others silence without saying a word and still knowing exactly what is on the other persons mind. lol I am such a nerd :angel

I would say that 90% or more of all my relationships I had to date were not with gorgeous looking guys. I guess I'm just a sucker for the Average Joe. If a guy can make me laugh and laugh with me, its the most important thing in my opinion. Yes I drool over cute guys, but a relationship cannot survive of looks alone, so being funny and fun are a big turn on for me. :guitar

I love also huggable guys - for example Gerard Depardieu... mmmm Or guys with space between front teeth. They look so devilish and frisky

Models are all very well and beautiful and attractive to look at, but the one who you notice the second or third or tenth time you see her, and for the first time notice she's prettier than you ever gave her credit for, is the one who grows on you, and slowly her every feature flourishes, until you're overwhelmed with desire for the perfect curve of her earlobes and the way her neck slopes to her shoulders just so.

There is no rhyme or reason to whom I find attractive. I may find Scarlett Johannson as beautiful as every other guy, but she can't compare to the girl who finds her niche, steals every fourth original thought I could possibly have, and consumes me every bit as much as the puppydog crush I had in the fifth grade - I doubt any crush or girlfriend has been typical in any respect, but I think that's why this site is sooooo appealling to us.. there's that tiny chance she may just like the shape of my mishapen earlobe and my silly little chicken neck. Everybody gets smitten every once in a while :party

In the long run it is the guy's personality, intelligence and sense of humor that make him sexy.

I love a man that can make me laugh! I love the crack jokes, and be sarcastic, and if you can't keep up with that, I don't care what you look like!

As far as looks go, the only things I am picky with are: love strong hands, sexy eyes that tell a story, broad shoulders, and kissable lips. This simple description has caused me to date "ugly" guys, but they were amazing friends, careful lovers, and strong partners.
