A few of you know my grandpa is suffering from Alzheimer's.

You guys also know im close to my family.

I got a call on thursday morning, the retirement home he is staying at said he isnt going to make it through the weekend. I need to be spending as much time with him and the rest of my family as possible right now, so until announced. I am going to take a "personal" "vacation" (if you want to call it that) to get affairs in order.

For those of you who have written me, i of course have not forgotten you, i will write back when i get time.

This has hit me harder than i thought it would

I'm a bit older than you dear, so sadly I've been there already. The best advice I can give you is to just love him all you can in these last times, and always remember him at his best, because I'm sure that's the way he'd want it.

Brandi, sorry to hear you are having to go threw this. I went threw it with my grandfather it is tough but it is giood that you are able to be their with him during this trying time. Thank you all for your support and positive thoughts. It means alot to me, i dont think you guys have any idea. I never would have thought that when i started working here i would make as good as friends with people, that I have. It means alot. Be they fellow models, or members. It never ceases to amaze me, how or when you manage to make friends when you do in the places we do.

Update: My grandpa did indeed make it through the weekend, hes only eating about 25% of his meals, and he was in some pain the past couple days. I know the place hes at, he is in good hands. I would log on just to try to take my mind off of everything, but as you guys can prob imagine i am an emotional wreck right now.

you take all the time you need brandi! family is always first. as you know music is what gets me through my day and i think lyrics can go a long way to help you know that someone else made it through something similar and so will you.

this song is called rockstar and it's by the band SWAY that I manage (getswayed.com). i like it because it talks about how even God, even in all his infinite glory, sometimes has a down day and just wants to let the music do the talking. hope it helps.
