the space thing still works. the problem with banning just the word and not part of a word (i.e. fat=*** and father=***her) is that the program is designed to just look for the words in general, there's no way for it to distinguish between the two. in order for that to happen flirt would have to employ a chat monitor for each room and every single message would have to get approved before it could be added to the chat window. which would mean delayed chat for everyone. while your message might just say "hey" the ten messages ahead of you (not to mention the 30 whispered messages) are still being checked first so your chat might literally take three or four minutes to show up; which it already feels like since half the members always whisper and your message is way down on the models list. so while it's annoying the best scenario is for someone else to point out that it was censored to the other member (which most models do anyway) and have them try to retype it with a different word.
in my humble opinion the fix to this problem would be far worse than the solution, so it's an inconvenience i'm willing to deal with at this point. the thing we can do to help is to write the admins with a well thought out letter and reason why a particular word shouldn't be banned. they do listen and if enough people are asking for a release on a banned word i'm sure they'll eventually do it.
