Well the air is getting colder and the leaves are falling and everything just smells of fall,and halloween..

Seems like everyone has a scary story of some type,maybe something you caught out of the corner of your eye,a voice in the wind you couldn't quite hear,a door you closed two minutes ago is open again and well you get the drift Anyways I thought it might be interesting to share some stories here or maybe you have heard about some legend in your town or some such interesting thing.

Without further ado here is my story and I swear to god this really did happen...


I was about 13-14 years old and we had moved to an 100 year old farmhouse way out in the middle of nowhere.Nice place but it could be a little spooky at night,creaks and funny noises all the time in the middle of the night.Well anyways it was around October 22nd I believe and I had gone to bed around 11pm but before I went to sleep I opened the window a bit to get some stale air out of the room.I woke up feeling cold and looked at my clock and it said 1:47am,I was freezing and half asleep when I noticed a woman in a white robe pass by my bed and walk to the window and close it.I said in the general direction of the robe "thanks mom" and fell back asleep.

The next morning at breakfast I sat down at the table and said "hey mom,thanks for closing my window last night,how did you know I was cold? " she looked at me funny and said "hon I didn't wake up at all last night.." Well the hairs on the back of my neck stood on end to say the least and I slept with my window shut and had my blanket over my eyes usually lol but I never did see it again,till one night my sister all of a sudden screamed out and woke me straight out of bed.I ran into her room and hit the lights,she said she had seen the "nanny ghost" as we had called it come into the room and go into her closet.As she told her story to me I glanced over at her clock,1:47am...

Strangely enough we never saw it again,I got the chance later in life to ask the people we bought the house from if they had ever saw the apparition and they said they had not but heard a story from the owners previous to them about a woman in a white robe walking across one of the rooms and disappearing seemingly into the wall scaring the hell out of the little girl who was in the room at the time.I did some research into the house but found nothing.I did find that the house had not always sat at that location but was moved from another place about 12 miles down the road.Oddly enough a cemetery is in the old location of the house but I couldn't find any reason why the house was moved and how or why a cemetery came to be there.

So thats my story,believe it or not I don't really care lol.I know what I saw and I hope I never see anything like that again lol.Lets hear your stories if you have one!

I was about 17 and walking thru a bookstore when a woman who worked there came across and said that she had been asked to pass a message on to me by a woman, I kept saying she had me confused with some1 else but she was adamnat so I humoured her and asked for the message. Her reply sent me cold

She was told to say ' Tell Scoob the book he was trying to find is in the left hand drawer under the television, its wrapped in a blue towel.'

I asked the person giving th message had left a name and she said its your sister Karen. 1 problem was Karen had died 6 months before this store was even open. And karen WAS the only person who would call me scoob

And yes I did check once I was home and the book was exactly where karen had said it was in the message. Quote

In the distance was a Church and lights remained on - showing Cross in a window and lights showing the room where candles burn

It was more reassuring than scary , but the closest to Abnormal situation could not explain
The Church was very old and did not have a generator , but lights stayed on all the time Quote

wow thats scary and kind of cool at the same time.There is a lighthouse in this state that has been closed for years that still emits an unexplainable light during storms.Was being investigated by paranormal researchers last I knew.Quite a few people have seen the light,I was by this lighthouse by boat but didn't notice anything however. My brother and i shared the same bedroom. I was watching television together with my brother in my sisters room and i decided to go to bed, my brother wanted to watch tv a little, he would come later. I wanted to make a joke on my brother, so i pushed a closet infront of the bedroom door so he couldnt get in. After a few minutes someone tried to open the door, i saw the doorknob going up and down and the door was shaking and bouncing against the closet. So i laughed my ass off because he couldnt get in. So i pushed the closet away from the door and i opened the door, but no one was there. So i thought my brother went back to my sisters room. 30 minutes later my brother came in and asked me why i was laughing. So i told him about that i pushed the closet infront of the bedroom door so he could not get in. My brother assured me that it was not him at the door, so we both got scared as hell. After that night we never ever slept with the bedroom door closed...

And believe me, i know my brother to well and i can tell when he is really scared and when he lies. He never told me it was him at the door, when it would have been him he would have told me.

Action of one of the scary story I remember from my childhood was in countryside where lived my great-grandmother. There were many old, left alone houses nearby, some from WW2 times. My grannie told me about one of them. It belonged to some rich family but after WW2 when a father of family died - his wife gone crazy and she disapeared somehow with their children. Some were saying they moved to far family or moved abroad. But nobody probably didnt believe in that cause all devices, clothing, books etc was left in house...

After many years all stuff from house was stolen or destroyed by time. When I was going there it was about 1993 so pretty long time after leaving of hosts. My sister always loved such scary places and she wanted us to visit the place... I didn't want to show that I am scared so I went with her.. (uh, those older sisters...)

When we reached the house we found out that it was reaaally dead house - almost no windows, ruined roof, grass high as human height. No sign of human sign for many, many years. My sister insisted on gettin inside. I was scared of roof falling down on us more than any ghosts... but we entered. As I expected everything was damaged and covered by thick layer of dust. She told me to not be scared cause any footprints were visible on dust on the floor. We began to look around the room and our attention focused on something red on the table. The color was really visible cause everything around was pure gray / brown.

The red thing was necklace made of fruits of mountain ash (popular mainly for children and in WW2 time). It was so fresh - it looked as it was made just few minutes ago. Nothing terrible happened but we ran away from there faster than we could imagine. Quote

WOW lol I would be running like hell too and your right,most of these things seem to happen in youth but I think maybe it's because you have a more open mind when your young.When we are adults we tend to ignore most of life lol.
