kinda off topic but sadly just the transilvanian part of romania has the nice old buildings..rest of the country is just soviet shitty architecture..

I must disagree....Transylvania is the stereotypical Count Drakul's Castle area
made "famous" by tacky and gaudy American horror films that destroyed the real
beauty of historical Romania.

In the cities outside Bucharest there are beautiful buildings still intact from the
X Century and before that will be made Historical Patrimony by the U.N. in the next few years.

It has been my experience that Romania is a very beautiful country full of intelligent
warm and caring people with historical treasures that supersede the infamous Transylvania
which it's inhabited with 98% very poor Hungarians, 1% gypsies and just 1% Romanians.
This beautiful country only needs the proper advertising to became a tourists paradise.
The only impressive building in Transylvania is Count Drakul's Castle now on sale for $100 millions.
(Same!! you don't sale your heritage greedy politicians!!!)
The countryside is peppered with old farms, bucolic fields, amazing sun rises and sunsets
that belong in a post card and tiny towns with old churches and ancient buildings from the
Roman Empire times.
Considering the horrors Romanians have suffered in the last 65 years it is still a
vibrant rich and warm country trying progress and succeed but non the less a
miracle of survival.

Its people are warm, educated, hard working, peace loving, intelligent and vibrant.
All I can say is:
my heart is with you...
SALVE ROMANIA!!!
Just my

and I know it is

but it needs to be said.
