I've visited Flirt4Free regularly since late 2006 and have witnessed many changes, mostly good but a few that disappointed me. One feature I don't understand is Semi-Private. I hesitate to pay to go behind a curtain when I'm not sure anyone is there. In the beginning the curtain opened occasionally to allow a peek, but that ended long ago. Could someone please tell me its purpose, why a model would prefer to be hidden rather than in the open room, and how a member could effectively use it? In short, how does it benefit models and members? Is there any benefit beyond the cheaper price per minute?

You can mail the model and make an appointment - to be sure model is there.
Like in Multi in Semi more than one customer can join the show - but unlike in Multi you can't read what other members type. When the model gets more shows that way it they may benefit.
And another benefit for models - they don't have all the "opn bobs"-requests in open (I don't know what they have to open on male side - but am sure there are also lots of begs)
Like the other rates - for one it works - for others not. There is always shadow and light at same time

A link to some older threads about that ( if you don't scare the female side) :

I know of one model who uses it. He does it more out of kindness than an attempt to hide. His name is Jonathan Phoenix. A semi-private chat cost half as much as a regular private chat. When I first visited the site Jonathan was nice enough to walk me through the registration process and then helped me get the most out of my free credits with a semi-private chat. I know uses it for his top fan or to prolongue cam2cam shows or phonesex privates. He is the BEST.

This is his profile:

Like madison61, I had often wondered about the reasoning behind the Sem-Private option

Thanks to Alberich, I now better understand the benefits of this feature and why a model would choose to use it on occasions

Alberich's 2nd link should be :

I feel your confussion. I did enter a semi once only to find the model sound asleep or comatose. last time I did that :orglaugh

Ditto!...Happened to me three times and I'll never
go semi private or voyeur again after that . :orglaugh

Thanks for all the helpful replies. louisphillipe, who always has something interesting to say, compares the predicament of entering semi-private with voyeuring a show. In both cases the member usually doesn't know what's going on behind the curtain. An advantage of voyeur, if the member was in the room when the show started, is that the member knows the model is in the house. What he usually doesn't know is whether the model is chatting or performing.

A model no longer working knew that I'd voyeur his performances. If he was performing he'd type "Go," in the public chatbox and I'd join. Sometimes he'd type "Wait" during the preliminary private chat and then "Go" when his performance began. That method only works after one has established a good relationship with a compliant model.

After abandoning the 5-second peek at the end of each minute, Flirt4Free is unlikely to restore it. A compromise that would increase the use of voyeur and multi-user would be to post for ten seconds or so a still shot of action taking place behind the curtain, with a new shot at intervals frequent enough to hold the interest of the member. This would allow the member to enter the show not blindly, but with his eyes open.

:thumbsup

Great intelligent analysis of the situation Madison.
:evil

I still wonder how much more productive money wise this
"no 5 seconds curtain preview" is with members that do not know
all the systems ins and outs since most models don't know to comply
with the "GO" or "WAIT" possibilities.
I'm sure "voyeur" shows have drastically decreased.

Cheers Madison!....

I was just thinking how Phil should have posted this as a funny model name in another thread: Semi Private or Private Semi..either way, sounds like a fun guy.

as a model who uses it often let me chime in! lots of time is a space for us to go hide out ( annoying non memeber or sometimes even members who we wish to get away from for a few mins-- take a breather and relax for a sec

great place to adjust-- change undies and stuff but dont wan tot be in public view but if someone comes in more the merrier. alos for male models a great place to fluff and tkae care of business if its been slow day lol

mutlit chat is nude chat for all tense in purposes enjoy them :

mutlichat is not vouyer its another option all togter mutli everyone pays the same amouint to get in
