A message for all you members out there. Please don't be shy about helping out all those new models who come online. I am referring to help other than tipping or taking them private. Often I have seen they have system problems which they might not be aware of. Take the time to talk to them and make them feel welcome to the site. Give them suggestions based on your past experience with other models if possible (not that they should copy what other models do on the site).
Getting them off to the right start is sure to make their experience on the site much more enjoyable I do believe and you as a member as well.
Post your thought about this topic please. Sure to help out all models and benefit the members in the long run.

I've been asked sometimes to "help" a few guys since I am around, and it's not an easy job. I always told them to be themselves on cam, don't try to be someone else , as it can be easily noticed by people who are here, especially ones that have spent a lot of time here, observing.

Some models might appreciate a members attempt to help , as you specified it, Mr. gofish, and some might not appreciate it.

It's double-edged for both of us models and members, as you may never know how's the model or the member feeling in a particular moment.

Yet , I appreciate all kind of help that is shot at me. Thanks for reading this, guys. Have a good one , all of you!

I agree with what you say there Danny Star, but any member with some common sense would use a bit of tact when trying to help out. Most models that I have come across have seemed to appreciate any help that they can get. However any member doing this should not expect something special in return other than the pleasure to be in the chat room.
Most members I think have no idea of the things that models have to deal with just to get up and running.

gofish, I'd argue that it isn't very difficult for members to offer assistance to new models, and yes, most members who are willing to do this know to be tactful about it. However, any member who offers assistance needs to be careful to not shape the model according to his own (the member's) preferences. Whenever I offer assistance, I try to limit it to mechanics, like about group and party chat, power boosts, etc., rules and policies that I've become aware of that the model might not remember or know about, or generalities about being polite, respectful, accommodating but firm. I try to avoid making suggestions about how to run the room, or how to deal with members, etc., unless there is a serious problem or issue going on, like demanding or abusive members.

You're perfectly right about a member having tact when provides the advice, gofish. What I was pointing out is the capacity of understanding of a model , or in other words , how well can one comprehend some words. Not all of us are mastering English as a native English speaker.

This is true. Probably the best way to assist a new model is to provide help on an as-needed basis. When something comes up--like a member's request for a group or party chat--then you explain. And if you need to give a lot of info, send a message to the model so he can read it later, and has time to process it. And, of course, keep explanations as brief and as simple as possible, for convenience's sake.

Or--and please pardon how self-serving this sounds--if you want to make a good impression on the new model and build an, er, relationship with him, you can also take him into private to answer the questions he may have, away from the constantly progressing chat, and taking your time to explain clearly.

what's a "fake tip?"

Some less-than-scrupulous members try to take advantage of new models by typing out a line that says they have tipped the model a certain amount. They do this hoping that the model will do things in open chat that they shouldn't, like ass-play, jerking off, etc.

I do not recall completely, but a real tip starts with an icon of a present/gift, followed with a short message announcing the tip. But if there is any doubt, a model should check his credit total to see if he received a tip for the announced amount or not.

Most members who see this mean-spirited trickery will immediately alert the model, and one (or more) will often send a REAL tip so the model can see the difference.

ti pping got a purple color..is not white ur grey...so its easy to realize when someone tip you for real..about blooking some states..u should talk with ur adminstrator if u work from a studio..if u do it from urself...go to performers forum and u`ll get ur answer there...good luck dude.
