Two weeks ago in my Group Chat topic (*) I invited any member or performer to introduce a separate Wide Screen topic, but no-one responded to the invitation. So (with apologies) here goes.

I was concerned that:

(1) wide screen was not very sensible for group chats using the old interface (which I prefer). There is a pot of coins on the left hand side, and the chat screen on the right, so a 4:3 video screen fits better

(2) the wide screen which the performer was using looked odd

(3) it discouraged me and other members from pledging


I mentioned there that 91% of performers were currently using a 4:3 screen (based on a sample of Daily VODs).

VS have now announced the introduction of Wide Screen for all performers (**). I can see the advantages - particularly for playing back VODs using the full-screen option on a PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone.

I don't think that the extra screen width will be of any great use to solo performers, who usually perform at the centre of the screen, but it could be very good for duo shows.

I am concerned that some of the wide screen video will not be true wide screen. I visited a performer today who was clearly using a standard 4:3 input stretched to 16:9 wide screen. It looked odd. This was the same problem that I mentioned in the Group Chat topic. He said he didn't know how to fix it, and that is a bit worrying.

I hope that all performers who change their video screen format will check with members that it looks right.

On our side it will make chests and thighs look bigger, and cocks look thicker. That can't be too bad

However it will also make stomachs look bigger and faces look fatter...

And that is when the performer is facing the cam. If he is lying sideways he will look completely different
