Hi Carter,
Even normal relationships are hard to build and its difficult to find a partner who's loyal, trustworthy, good looking, with a good personality, etc
LDR makes it even harder.
I think it depends where you and your partner live, what kind of friends and job both have, how social you are, etc. In some cases it might be very difficult to find a local partner if you live in a small village with just a few gay people wondering around. Also for people living in big cities its difficult to find somebody if all you do is work work work and not having time for meeting people.
But, as Thomas said above, after a while you have to get to a common ground and build a real relationship. LDR are just the beginning for what should later become a real relationship.
This means I don't consider LDR as an
alternative to real relationships, just a temporary state that shouldn't be going on for too long, and shouldn't benefit of all the perks a real relationship is.
Kian.
