I try my best to include everyone in conversations. Sometimes you may join me in my chat room and notice that I am speaking English, Spanish, typing, and using American Sign Language (ASL) all at once. I try to encourage new models to use audio because it gives the experience a human touch.

My studio allows me to call members here in the US. What's better than a real time conversation? It gives us both a chance to make the experience a little more intimate and to be able to truly moan, talk dirty, and laugh... I mean seriously, I'd rather hear you laugh than to see you type "LOL"

Sometimes it's on and sometimes it's off. Usually I tweet if my cam is open in Cali. It should be open today, I'm surprised you didn't get a chance to see my profile. I checked again and the settings are still the same.

maybe it is because the models take a ticke penality if they listen music what is not recomended by site, there's a list with what music you are allowed to listen

I've had a few models tell me, "audio in pvt only". Thus, they are using audio as an additional enticement to get the members to go into private chat. In some places, that would be known as a "marketing ploy". :winkwink

I will try this when I get a wireless keyboard. :D

I'll have to stop by his chat room a little more often! He is definitely one of those models that sets the standard for the rest of us. He is by far one of the funniest and most entertaining models online.... a great example of how using audio enhances the experience for the model, members, and guests.

It can be a "marketting ploy". And it is successfull.........sometimes. But not usualy. I've seen a few models use this tactic and are very successfull. But they are few and far between. And once again, This is excluding models where English is not thier first language.

New model here. I've been trying to decide whether to do audio or no audio. For right now, It's 50/50.It feels awkward for a prolonged conversation because no one is speaking back to me... I begin to feel like crackhead or worse.. but i understand the need for clients to hear a voice. I open up my session talking and will speak mostly Yellow... and sometimes whites... But it gets a bit disconcerting when i'm appealing to several interests at once. I notice that greys and whites will respond to the same questions i am responding to from a yellow. Anyhow... i figure 50/50... and i don't feel as if i am talking to vacuum. Also... at night... i do have a roommate.. so keep the chat to minimum as well.

Must say models using a mic (audio) is a big plus for members. Models who are able to use the audio but refuse to do so are in effect limiting their access to new members. It is not as if they have to use the audio all of the time, but a little teasing is always a good thing.
As for models whose English is not all that good rest assured most members don't have a problem with it merely because there was some effort on your part.
At the end of the day (barring the models who are in studios) it is up to the model as to what they wish to do, but the tend lately seems to be giving the audio a try in open chat.

Please, everyone, try to look at this from the performers' point of view. Yes, audio is a big plus for members, but it may also be a big minus for the models. If a model feels more comfortable typing instead of speaking, we should respect that.

There are several possible reasons for using audio only in private, many mentioned earlier in the thread, and a lot probably missing from the list as well.
- discomfort with English or any other language
- shared living space (family, roommates, etc.) and respect for others who may/may not be sleeping, nearby
- shared living space (family, roommates, etc.) and need to be muted to prevent outside noise from interfering
- music playing (music over mic is sometimes louder for members than for the performer)
- porn playing to help the performer along
- too much background noise (traffic, construction, dogs, etc.) going over the feed

If a model chooses not to use audio in open chat--or even in private--then there is probably a good reason. Would he feel embarrassed about his skill with English speech? Is he worried about what members might hear in the background? Does he want to watch porn to help himself along, but fear that the member might be turned off by it? These concerns may make the model uncomfortable, and that discomfort may transfer over to the overall atmosphere in the chat room, and from there into private chats, resulting in less satisfying experiences on both sides. If leaving audio off helps the model, then that in turn helps the member in enjoying a better chat experience.

A few of the Russian models I visit are in a studio. Other performers in that studio have their music turned up so loud they have to mute their volumes as it can be annoying. One performer told me just the other day, there is a performer in his studio that turns his music up loud to mask what he is doing in private from the other performers.
