@bisporti23, I know what you mean about whether someone works or they don't; we don't want to fiddle with that either. Also, re: tipping and the 5&10 options, I understand your point about using them, and thank you for your effort spicing up rooms. I'll ask around.

@Forgottenclone, I didn't mean to be creepy & I'll try to be less creepy. Although part of me does think it is a compliment. ;)

Hi guys, my first post! I'm on the traffic team.
Paull77, you might have noticed that we have been testing how we distribute traffic. For example, tactics that don't flood specific model rooms. I can see how that could make the customer experience quite different.

The fact remains that models can tell it is slow by checking out their power score and comparing it to their relative position in the rankings. A year ago the power scores they currently have would have barely kept them in the top 5%, now they are enough to stay in the top 1%.

It's good grays are being evenly distributed, but the real issue is increasing your conversion rate. What efforts are you taking in that respect? At the same time what efforts are you taking to keep your existing customers? This is especially true/important with everything going on.

You don't have to answer us, but you should present your plans and goals for 2012/2013 to your models.

Perhaps the amount of traffic is less important than the quality of the clientele.
Call me elitist, but too much traffic creates gridlock. :twocents

I don't know if the treatment of power score boosts distorts the comparison. I think that a year ago the power scores could include a larger amount of boost points than is allowed now. You raised this point in other forums.

Didn't know about "grays being evenly distributed". All I know is that it is annoying to see an increasing number of grays during the pledge process in Group Chat (where they cannot make any useful contribution at all). It adds insult to injury when the grays wipe out the chat with one of the large emoticons - but that is a topic I've mentioned too many times already...

Your question: "What efforts are you taking to keep your existing customers?" I agree absolutely. I am so much in love with this site that I cannot believe that some of the recent "improvements" by VS are stretching my loyalty. That shouldn't be the case.

I completely agree, chinmusic. I often hold back from chatting to my favourite performers (or even leave the room) when I see they are really busy chatting to other members. However, I find that some of these members are just wasting the performer's time with empty promises or endless discussion about their personal fetishes. I feel pleased for the performer when I see he is establishing a nice relationship with a "good quality" client.

It can also be quite nice to visit a favourite performer when there is no-one else in the room. Lack of traffic isn't always a problem

Phil, what models rooms are you in then? please, because I would like know.

I use to see the grey, white, and yellow chatter in most rooms so full ( even when greys was silent it still was ) the rest of room, and model could hardly keep tract of what was being said.

Now I see many rooms, where the models tries to engage in conversation, and nooo chatter at all. Others their is some chatter and the model ignores them.

but over all, the chatter ( and tips and things) in general seem down.

I want them to increase again...

I want to be visit a model and not feel like I walked into a freaking ghost town.

and still not be full greybie non payers....

a see of white and gold accounts that talk...anddd pay... and trying to get back to the point that it was that way.

your right Phil, guys like Drew have built up a loyal following over some months, and rightly so too, but he is the exception amongst the Asians. Talk to any of them and they will all tell you its harder to get private now, and fewer guests come into the room, and they dont earn as much. Some rooms are so quite you can hear a pin drop, or the models sleeps cause hes got tired of the wait!!! I for one hope there is a revival.

Couldn't VS easily settle this debate by checking their records and telling us if the average credits per week for the top models has decreased or increased. I think that there is a natural attrition on the site for models who do not attract the attention of members and fade away in the night. Just as there is, in my opinion, a shift of members from the less proactive models to the more engaging models. It has been my impression that there is less traffic in the rooms but thankfully my guys are still doing OK I think. I do my best to support them. Maybe a decrease in the quantity of models will reinforce the quality of models. I know that sounds heartless and mean but it's the facts of life. I wish all the models on the site only the best, and winning lottery tickets but I know this is unlikely. You have to pay to play and only those who play can win. Just my :twocents

VS wouldn't have to check - they would be well aware of the volume of traffic thru the site overall and whether it is increasing or decreasing, however they would not release this information to members

Maybe a decrease in the quantity of models will reinforce the quality of models

I think it's fair to say that a small percentage of models do well, but they are far outnumbered by a large percentage of models who, often thru no fault of their own, are struggling. It seems to me that if the number of models was halved the average income per model would double. Unfortunately there's no fair was of doing this

I haven't noticed it. Actually for me It's quite the opposite.

When I check some model room and It's empty, usually it's the kind of model who only says "lets go pvt bb"

My fav is William Haley and what I see is the traffic increasing, when he is not in private shows, many members are always talking, sometimes he barely can answer everyone.

Not really, Luk. There has always been a high turnover of models on this site. Departing models are replaced by new ones who may or may not turn out to also be under-performing. What Nomad and I were talking about was reducing the overall number of models. But we know this will never happen

reduce how? not getting new subscriptions? but in this way some of the top models or your favourite guys could have never had the chance to become models.
fire today models? how to select who stays or not? based on what kind of parameters? more credits in last pay period? remeber that today top 20 models (except stefano lol lol) won't be in tomorrow top 20 classific..
