I have now enjoyed more than 50 Group Chats since it was launched 2 months ago. I have also joined in the pledges for quite a number of Group Chats where the target was not reached. Based on these experiences, and also comments from members and performers earlier in this thread, I thought it might be helpful to suggest some tips for performers. Anyone is free to agree, disagree or add their own suggestions.
Group Chat: Tips for Performers
1. Pledge Time: It is a good idea to allow 15 minutes for pledges when you want to start a Group Chat. Group Chat now appears at the top of the Live Model Categories on the members' screen, and members who are ready to tip will often look out for this. The longer this appears, the more likely it is to be spotted.
You might think 15 minutes is too long for pledges if the show time is only 5 minutes. If you reach the target quickly then no-one needs to wait for the full 15 minutes. The show starts as soon as the target is reached.
If you don't reach the target at the first attempt, it is not a good idea to start immediately with another 15 minutes pledge time. You should first ask those in your room if you should try again. If they agree, you should now only allow 5 minutes pledge time. This is most likely to attract all the pledges which were refunded from the first attempt, and the support from your room makes it more likely to reach the target.
2. Begging for Tips: Performers do best if they are relaxed about meeting their target. You are offering a full 5, 10 or 15 minute show for a 50 tip. This is great value, so you don't need to beg members to give you tips. It is their loss if they miss the chance. Once one or two members have pledged, they will often ask others to tip because they are so keen to see the show.
I saw one variation the other day, which was very effective. The performer simply started asking 1 or 2 members "xxxxx - do you wish to join the group?" It was friendly and inviting, and didn't mention tips at all. Pledges started to come in.
3. Nudity: In Open Chat members often ask for a quick peek and promise a 50 tip. They will often do the same during the pledge period. They cannot give tips directly during this time. During the pledge period you should only show what you do normally in Open Chat. You can tell anyone who presses you that they will get much more than a peek if they pledge 50 towards the Group Chat.
4. Content. It is important to describe clearly what you will do in the Group Chat. It is better to do a short show with a clear description, than a longer show with vague phrase like "all your fantasies fulfilled". If you do this you should use the pledge period to answer questions about what you are offering to do. If you offer to do too many different things, you may have too many competing requests to handle in the Group Chat.
One of the top models often does a 5 minute show in which he shows off all his naked body, and flexes his muscles. He then does another 5 minute show in which he strokes his cock and makes it hard. And another in which he does a cum shot.
5. Targets. The pledge target should be related more to content than to the time of the show. The target for a cum show can vary from about 400 to 1500, but I have seen a new model do a cum show in Group Chat for 200 and a top 20 model do a cum show in Group Chat for 300. Performers should be prepared to experiment, as there is no magic formula that works all the time.
Remember that members can still join the first half of Group Chat after it has started. The shock of suddenly losing the model's video screen while still seeing the chat can make them want to join the group. So in many cases the total of pledges can be more than the set target.
6. Show Time. The most popular shows are 5 or 10 minutes. Some members have been surprised that performers can do a cum show in less than 15 minutes, because that is what many performers ask for a private show. 15 or 20 minute Group Chats are fairly rare in my experience.
7. Party Chat within Group Chat. If you wish to have extra tips in Group Chat before you do certain things, you should make that very clear beforehand. I have seen a (failed) Group Chat advertised as "naked, hard cock, cum show (if you are generous)". Personally, I feel this should be avoided.
8. The Group Chat Show. Worth repeating Phil-USA's helpful warning here. Once you have started a Group Chat, you should complete it until the time runs out. If you end it early, you lose all the tips which were pledged.
Group Chat: Tips for Members
1. Pledge quickly! Unlike Party Chat, you get a refund if the performer does not reach his target. You can therefore pledge quickly and confidently, and make it more likely that the Group Chat will succeed.
