I’ve noticed something sad lately- disrespectful models and disrespectful users. I haven’t personally been on either end of this, but I have my two cents.
First of all, on the topic of lurkers. Flirt4Free works because you can FLIRT 4 FREE. Just like others take notice of the guy or girl in the bar getting all the attention, your fans create frenzy in your room- whether or not they spend any money on you. And that frenzy gets other users excited and the ones who can spend the money are drawn to do so. I hate to use the word “use” here- but for lack of a better word, a good model knows how to use his or her lurkers to create an environment in their room that gets everyone excited about the model. You, the models, need that excitement. Otherwise you’re just going to have a boring room that people aren’t going to stick around in. Some “sure things” may wander in and spend some money on you, maybe a lot of money, but you’re not attracting anyone. Don’t you notice that new people stop in your room briefly, try to make conversation and then take off? I’m not saying you should spend all your time talking to lurkers or not make it clear to your room that you’re there to make money, but it’s about respect.
That’s right- RESPECT. The biggest aphrodisiac on the planet. I like you. You like me. OK, things are in order- let’s have some fun and spend some money. Connect with every person who enters your room. You want them to remember that you are human beings, right? Then treat US like human beings too. I wonder if a couple of you have any real friends off cam with the way you treat people.
Don't get me wrong, I’m not saying anything bad about the site- overall, I love Flirt4Free. I’ve stuck around here for about a decade and I’m not going anywhere. But, there are always a few bad apples in every bunch. The lesser models are a small, but real, part of the site. There are some really great models that really treat everyone who enters their room with respect: Izzi, Paul Atreides, Jake Trenton, and Cirino, off the top of my head.
People who come to Flirt4Free are looking for more than “interactive porn”- we’re looking for real human connections. Online friends that we can talk to AND have a lot of sexy fun with. We want to see ALL of you- not just your body. Putting up a wall and saying you’re only here for sex and money is extremely limiting to what users you’re going to attract. Make some friends and treat your room like a party, not a queue.
And just one last thing about lurkers- especially the ones who have made lots of friends on the site, and now that Twitter is a part of the site, people listen to them… people who would spend money on you. Whether or not THEY spend the money, they really do affect how other users see you. They are here, flirting for free, because this is FLIRT 4 FREE. Stop treating them like they don’t belong here.
That’s the way I see it. Maybe I’m wrong. But negativity is a huge turn off, don’t you agree?
