Yes I too heard about this. I dont see how any performer can do anything about a guest volunteering his YM without solicitation. That he was then fined and lost his hard earnt money is really unfair.

Its not the first time it has happened and it wont be the last. Who gets the performers wages when hes banned VS or the studio? If I sack someone, I have to pay them up to date, so why doesnt this apply here.

I have written to customer service, I expect the usual response that its a matter between the studio and performer which is bull.

I urge other guests to comment, when we private a model, we do expect he gets something for it, even if he is sacked.

TODAY TED HUNGWELL WAS SACKED FOR GIVEN A Y/M ID.

Actually he did not give HIS YM identity at all, it was the guest who did. I was in the room!!!

Performers are not actually employed by VS. They are independent contractors and, therefore, not subject to labor/wage laws. Models agree, as part of their contract, to forfeit income if they fail to follow the rules of the site. The model might have grounds to pursue a lawsuit based on a breach of contract, but VS has a stronger case for a counter-suit.

WHAT I HAVE TO SAY IS MORE IMPORTANT BECAUSE I HAVE MY CAPS BUTTON ON! (*cough* ghetto shit *cough*) :orglaugh

so how did the guest manage to obtain Ted's YM id in the first place? Models I believe are told it's against the rules to give out ANY personal info. via any media, including twitter.

I disagree. Multiple people in his room have now posted that it was a user who shared this information; not the model. There is no violation of the rules. A lawsuit would be expensive though. I suggest he talk to his VS rep, and if that doesn't work, he should file a complaint with the office of the attorney general of California and the Better Business Bureau of Calabasas, CA.

I was responding to the term "sack(ed)" being used, which I took as implying that the model was fired under normal employment conditions. The thing about lawsuits was predicated on the idea that the model was at fault, a matter about which I have no first-hand knowledge. I hope it's not true and that everything gets sorted out between the model and his studio and/or VS.

Of course he should talk to his rep. This all sounds like a misunderstanding that could easily be cleared up, but shouts of "Unfair!" on the forums don't do nearly as much good as encouraging the model to go about things through appropriate channels.

Yes you are right, but when the model tries to sort out through the appropriate channels, he gets no response/ Maybe if the model is based in US or Europe this approach works, but the Filipino models - they just get ignored, no response, nothing!!!

I don't think anyone would get sacked for simply a guest posting their private contact details. If that was the case, about 90% of the models would be gone by now . We cannot control when a guest does such a thing and it happens regularly .

In this case I cn assure you it was the GUEST who gave his ID not the model/ The only -mistake- Ted made was to say something like "I will buzz you later".

Amazing...How what is against the rule for one model isn't enforced on other models. I know one of the top models on this site communicates with several of his top fans and facebook and even says in chat "I sent you a FB message". Another member told me in another models chat room he even reported it and nothing has happended.....

It is HOW they do it .

This site allows TWITTER and ANYTHING goes there for information sharing .

Maybe an Admin saw the model write something down ??
Models can contact the site and often are allowed back on "probation terms" .

Often the site Admins see or hear MUCH more than members see .
They often get emails from members or other models sometimes as a complaint .

I hope all is resolved and the model is allowed back if not a big offence :drinkup

Y/M is ya who messanger. VS is the parent company of flirt4free among others (notice the little VS in the right hand of the models pic when you're in his chat room)

VS stands for Video Secrets which is the company name. I wish you good luck with any complaints about this subject as it seems that the company (VS) really doesn't care about what their customers think. I would have to rate their customer service as practically non-existent and they seem not to have heard the old saying, "The customer is always right!" In VS world, the customer doesn't matter and counts for nothing.
