This may have been covered already, but I was wondering what people think about the auto greetings....those annoying "Hi such and such", or Such and such, nice to see you in my room".
Usually when entering a room I haven't been in before, I like to get my bearings and a feel for what the room is like. The auto greeting forces you out. Sure you don't have to reply, but then I feel like a jerk for not having done so. So, I was wondering what others feel about this practice. Quote
