Sometimes I use Google Translator to communicate with European and South American models in their languages, mostly to help clarify a question or something they don't understand. Today I tried to paste something in Spanish, and I can't anymore. Is this a new policy?

I have just learned that VIPs can still copy and paste. This is the end of my membership. In four years, Flirt has taken whispering away from the models, they have made whispering a privilege for only VIPs, and now this. That's enough. I will not pander to their greed. I will fly to the U.S. on vacation in seven. When I leave on vacation, I will not come back to Flirt.

Let me say thank you to all the models and members with whom I've made friends. I'm sorry it ended this way, but I doubt the Flirt management cares.

I don't believe they have taken anything away. As a VIP or in non-VIP mode I was still able to paste as before

I don't mean to insult anyone by asking a dumb question. That said, how are you copying and pasting? Through your right click menu, or Ctrl-C/V?

I assume Ken was talking about pasting text to the chat window in a model's room

Members can't copy text from the chat window, but they can paste text to the chat window by either method. For example they can copy text from an online translator and paste it to the chat window but they can't copy text from the chat window and paste it to a translator

I still think nothing has changed, either for regular members or VIPs. Of course I could be wrong

Using "gold", I successfully copied and pasted something to the chat. I switched to the non VIP mode, and I could no longer do that. It appears that VS has made a decision not to allow the regular members to paste things into the chat box. This makes no sense.

Something's not making sense here. In non-VIP mode Jeffie, Asti and paperpunch09 say they can paste to the chat window but ken_in_china and male4622 say they can't :smoking

Cut and paste works.

What you need to do is select the text area from left to right with the mouse or keyboard that you copy, sometimes highlighting from right to left a text area will not copy.

Perhaps the issue is not with VS but with the online translator program? For example, using Google Translate, I can copy and paste what I type into a Microsoft Word document, and presumably into the chat window. However, despite using Ctrl-C or the right-click menu, I cannot copy the translation provided by Google Translate...or if I can copy it, I cannot paste it.

Other translation programs may allow it, but if ken_in_china is using Google Translate, perhaps that is the problem he is encountering?

However, if he is using Google Translate, then another option MIGHT be to click on the translation to, as it says, "edit and see other translations" and then copy the text from the drop-down box that appears. That seems to work. It may take longer, but at least it is copy-able, and that seems paste-able into the chat window.

An oddity, to be sure. I hope ken_in_china will not give up, since I know he is friends with several South American models who will undoubtedly miss him. The solution I proposed may take longer, but it should work and he can continue to communicate with his friends in their language.

And BTW, I am not VIP, and cannot paste directly from Google Translate except by the method I suggested.

Yes, Jeffie, it does. I can copy and paste using Google Translate...BUT: only the text on the right (the to-be-translated-text). Maybe an operators error on my side.

More importantly @ Ken: it doesn�t look like a VS-related issue (I�m not a vip).
