Group chat is pay-what-you-want. I like it for that very reason. No one expects you to chip in more than 50 credits, and I certainly don't deserve it in any sort of absolute sense. Every group chat is, by design, reasonably priced.
The people that bring 'lots and lots of credits' to these shows are my friends. That is, people who want to support my existence on the site, just like every single successful model EVER has had people support his (or her) existence on the site. I love them deeply for it, and I'm the luckiest person in the world to have them.
That's really all that NEEDS to be said here to anyone that questions group chat goals.
Alas, Further.
For those who really wish to know more about the history of this regular group chat thing, here's a (not) brief (enough) history of group chat:
Group Chat started in September 2011. I jumped on it immediately. Why? It is the perfect system for me. I had been having success in party chat for the few months prior on the site, but I constantly had to count goals myself and encourage people to tip while doing the show. Group chat was the PERFECT solution, and it still is. Goal taken care of before the show, a model is free to perform with the price of entry raised only slightly (from NOTHING to 50 credits).
The goals at that point were set at, basically, 100 CPM. The thinking was that 5 people paying 20 CPM on a site where the average show costs 60 CPM was not unreasonable, especially considering that no one is required to chip in anything over 50 credits.
AND...IT...WAS...PERFECT...
Over time, nearly all of my fans on the site became group chat fans, so much so that we had plenty to support full forty minute shows when those were allowed in November of that year (if I recall correctly). I priced 40 minute groups slightly higher, again based on reasonable per member rates but assuming that the length of the show would likely bring in more fans. Remember, a forty minute show before group chat would cost 1600 credits at minimum, per customer. It's a serious show; it requires stamina and preparation to do a full show with constant action for forty minutes.
We did them sporadically for several months, until March of this year, when it was decided that there should be some sort of regularity, so that everyone that wanted to see a forty minute show for as little as 50 credits could see one. This was not dictated by me. I did not DEMAND that my friends come and make these happen. I came up with the idea, it was well received, and we did it together.
The idea is that, rather than sit on cam expecting random tips and the like on 'big days', we could proactively create seriously awesome shows where every credit is worth something. It truly is all about respect, and I am saddened and frustrated to hear cynical, snarky criticisms of it. It hurts me and it hurts my friends who have supported it. Our regular group chats represent over a year of work in developing the use of this great chat type on Flirt4Free, and they are something for which I am extremely proud.
(I try to keep things terse on the forum as I've received a LOT of criticism from even my closest friends about my penchant for verbosity, but this is something that matters to me.)
