yeah i agree,pretty lame sayin ure american when ure not but its not really hard to see from vocabulary and language use if the model actually is american or not. on a personal side,there are members who thought im american cause of my english but its just lame to lie about that.i always tell em im a romanian guy :P noone chooses where to be born.hell,noone chooses if he/she actually wants to be born but that's life

Yes I agree, and I belive Its a lame tactic.
The 1st model on the site is not american and there are many other exemples of non-american models doing very well on the site without categorizing themselves as "American guys".

While I enjoy spending time and credits with guys from many countries and have been among the top fans of several non-American models, I have recently found that several models identify themselves as American when indeed they are not. This becomes abundantly clear as soon as you enter their rooms, but by then you have entered their room. Now, some of you will come down on me as not liking non-American models, which is not the case. I just hate this type of misleading tactic in any form.
I suspect that in general, not in every case obviously, American models tend to be more "successful" than non-Americans largely because the largest client base is English speaking. By categorizing themselves as American, these models entice members to enter their rooms which is the first steps in earning credits. I certainly understand this approach, but it is deceptive.

well i don`t know what`s the point of sayin ur american guy,we`r not all humans? i tought if u speak english good enought ur not ignorance and ur not dumb,ur just equal with all other guys from this website...guess what? im from romania and im not shame with that,but reversed,im proud that i can chat with you guys from america and make u understand we`r not a country of gipsys and monkey`s ..as they say..like in every other place we have some bad exemples,but also some good examples...depend on what entourage u came.

I wouldn't be irritated at the models for the miscategorizing. Its the studuo's fault. They make the bios for those models and I guess the studios realize that "American model" will get the customer to at least go in the room.......as the OP already stated.
Half the time those models don't even realize they are labeled as such.

I never heard that !!...it would be ridiculous and untruth.
I have been in Romania several dozen times in different
cities and the ONLY thing I've found were people well educated,
open minded,affectionate,kind,warm spirited,fun and giving.
In fact they open up their homes to me in no time and
shared everything they possessed including the people
living in extreme poverty.They even try to speak broken English
because it's the international language to make me feel welcome.

Needless to say I saw there the most gorgeous men
and women in the face of the Earth. WoooWWWWww !!!

All my favorite models have always been Romanians, Slovakian,Czech

I think some people like the American category because they like the specific accent. It's not about where you live necessarily, it's about how your voice sounds. A lot of British boys seem to like the American thing. I personally am a sucker for Russian and British accents.

Honestly when I think of Romania, I think of beautiful old buildings and lush countryside.

well yeah i know what u talkin` about..but still..i`v had the luck to meet some wonderfull ppl that sound like they were born in other state...the accent is the same as the vocabulary,if u practice long enought u`ll sound like how ever u want...but not my case,i have a funny accent

I find it unsettling that members would treat a model differently just because of their nationality. I like meeting people from other countries around the world as well as other regions of my own country. It is truly sad that people bring preconceived baggage to a model's room. Here, online I am able to meet people from parts of the world I have never visited and may never have the opportunity. One can only truly know another country through its people not its government, which has an impact but is not the measuring stick. If government was the measure of a country, sterotypically I might be wary of Russian models. But because I get to know models as individuals some of my favorites are from that country and I am glad I have been able to know and share time with them. Most of my favorites are from countries other than my own but not all.
So I don't boycott a model because of their national origin and to shed some light on a question presented earlier, racism and nationalism are two different things. If a member treats a model badly because of that model's country that is not racism but it is a level of ignorance.

...I don't care what the category of the model is, a lot of them don't fit. I choose models by stopping in their room and chatting, it's by far the best way to get to know a model.

I certainly do not avoid any category of model. In fact, I have been surprised at just how much I enjoyed some models who I thought i might not care for.

...Watching a lot of daily video's is a big help in choosing models too.

That is exactly why those studios technically miscategorize their models. Also, as another commenter stated, the majority of customers are still English speaking. I am sure if this majority changed this "American" thing would disappear.

don.t 'make the so called "language barrier" the reason why some models are not successful here. People come here to have virtual sex and to cum, many are not interested in talking and do not give a crap where u are from and how good your english level is. Many like american models because they think that if he is from USA maybe they can meet and do naughty things at night, or maybe start a relationship. There are also members, who like cultural diversity and they are too tired of seeing and talking to men from the same country as they and they prefer something different!.
The conclusion is do not blame the language, blame the taste and the level of intelligence
