I am addressing two recent experiences. I think expected tipping has gotten out of hand and is getting worse. I was in two new models' rooms last night and in the first I complimented their photos in the bio. The reply was "did I think the photos deserve a tip?" I'm thinking, HUH?!? I responded there are alot of great photos on the site and I save my credits for privates or tips accompanying requests. He said, "oh ok." I figure the guy is new no big deal. Then not much later another model would not say hello to anyone until he received a tip. A few members were greeting the model and trying to engage but nothing. Then a tip would be sent and that person received a hello. Then it happened again and again. That is crazy. It's the guy's first day and no response without a tip. I know I can leave the room and not return and maybe the dynamic of the site will correct this situation but I found it odd in one night in two new rooms to have these encounters.

I know models put up with alot of bad behavior but nothing like that was happening. I'm not against tipping but I believe it should not be expected when nothing has been done. There are tippers who like to enter a room and tip when they say hello and some do Prince proud by raining purple. If you can afford to do that great but I think the "expected" tip is getting extreme.
Just a thought for the day.

Yes, there are a few models who expect to be tipped for just about everything. On the flip side, there are also members who expect everything for baby tips. Numerous times in numerous model's rooms I have seen a member tip 10 credits (wow! a whole dollar! woohoo!) and expect the model to show and do everything - show cock! show ass! get hard! show feet! It gets pretty ridiculous. So, while the greedy model may not last long, the cheapskate members seem to last forever!

Good flipside observation slave. The low credit tippers are so very generous with their demands. That should be the topic of a thread called Low Tipping and High Expectations; Takes its Toll. :thumbsup

Tipping is not just supporting your favorite performer, everyone who tips is of benefit to both performers and members by way of making it viable for performers to join and revisit the site regularly.

No performers are going to sit around for a few tips so if you want to see sexy new performers then give thanks to those who's generous tipping brings them to this site.

If you don't like the way a performer behaves don't be rude just leave, its a simple matter to look for another performer who you can make a connection with or re-visit the performer another time knowing what their expectations are likely to be and be more willing to meet them.

Its a good idea to keep a look out for performers online at different times, they have periods when they are open to chat freely, sometimes it just a matter of timing when you enter the room.

Yes tipping benefits everyone even the freeloaders just like Party Chat. That is why I never enter a room in party and rarely remain in a room when a party starts. There will be 90 people in a party and ten tippers. The many benefitting from the few, (B.O. would love that, sorry :offtopic

) I don't miss the openning curtain either. Keep private chat private.

Possibly true but a long private is very much appreciated too. Has a model ever thanked you for taking them out of the madness of open chat for a half hour or longer? Quite a few prefer the one on one experience to the barrage of questions, requests and demands that occur in open chat.

No one was rude. I didn't type the entire conversation here. It actually went pretty well after that discussion. Also if you go back you will see I mentioned leaving a room is my option when I don't agree with what is happening. To your point on making a connection it is difficult establishing one when a model will not talk or type to anyone and it wasn't a language barrier the model is from a nearby state. A connection can lead to private shows. It takes some connection for me to enter private chat.

Your revisiting idea is a good suggestion. I appreciate the input but whether to tip or not wan't the intent of my original post.

Haven't had that experience, Asti...fortunately

I've never seen a model say "tip me to chat". That rather invites the obvious response that the site is called Flirt4Free.

I have seen some models who simply don't chat. If they are silently waiting for a tip before they say "hello" they might have a long wait. Members who are ignored may just decide to visit another model instead.

However, I have a lot of sympathy for models who have long chats with a member - and the member says "I will just go and get some credits" and never returns. So I can also see why models might like to see tips first.

There is a cute model I used to visit who would only show his face in open chat if he got a tip!

There is such a wide variety of models here, with different talents, needs and attitudes. There will always be those who surprise us :winkwink

DeafTN - that sounds outrageous...

I don't think models who do that will survive very long here.

I also think that VS look closely at models who liberally ban members. The model could finish up being banned himself

General Discussions forum where I mentioned something in passing about "polite tipping" for a nice time open chat, a laugh or two, a good conversation, or for no reason at all. You said you'd rather not tip a model for just breathing.

My typical OFF-TOPIC response:

Nope. I'm not offended at all Asti. Everyone's spending habits, proclivities, and preferences on Flirt are different.

Not that I'm against the tipping for breathing thing (there are certain models that do indeed look dead on cam), but I personally prefer to abstain from visiting models when I know I don't have the credits to spare (just in case). For me, it's the same as showing up to a party empty-handed. Some models claim not to care, but I care.

It was a fun thread and a good discussion.

Hi I want to join the conversation and say (MAXI) is not one of those models took a year and tell my babies tip for all no, but I say that there are customers who just talk and leave the other customers that are not wait for the turn to be very well served by the performer and be a great show so hot.
