Male Performer Chat: When should the site respect negative reviews

It seems a certain model got a negative review and the member who posted it got banned. I read the review and check out the model. The review was correct and actually was not in anyway offensive to the model in question.
Now what I would like to know is should the site ban members who post bad reviews or check out the model in question. Reviews should be there to give heads up to other members and then let them be the judge.
Just curious what do other members think about this? It is all about having a good time both by members and models.

I agree that the review should accurately reflect the members experience with the performer. I always read reviews before visiting a model as it gives me an idea of what to expect. If a negative review is warranted members should alert others without being offensive, but be truthful and to the point. I don't think a member should be banned for a negative review if the review is warranted. If there is a problem with a member ad reviews, VS should contact the member before banning.

When I first became a member a year ago I had a major gung-ho hard on about reviews. Thought they were the best things since the invention of silicone lube and rechargeable batteries..

"Be honest in a review" I preached. "Let others know how your experience really was", I advocated. "Show your appreciation or dissatisfaction". BLAH BLAH BLAH vomit...Then two of my less flattering reviews got mysteriously removed.

Yes, I KNOW what you are thinking, but truthfully they were nothing really graphically abusive or toxic. One because a model would not put down his cell phone long enough to pay attention to his VERY full room and another for just being rude, demanding tips and banning members for complaining. They were short and sweet and gone in 24 hours.

After that, my faith in the review process dwindled and I got curious. I paid more attention and started checking. I ran with the hypothesis that EVERY single model has a bad day or a bad experience at least once. If you look at even the All Time Top Model's or 5 year Vets' reviews have at least a few minor complaints or 1-2 star review sprinkling in somewhere.

Then I went back to the models I reviewed and realized there were nothing but perfect 5 star reviews.. Then I checked the other models in the same studios. Same story. More perfect scores. Then I checked other reviews on models from all the studios in that region, then the country, and on and on and on. Then I got pissed.

It's obv to me now the reviews for certain bigger _ _ _ studios are complete bullshit. Some member reviews I recognize, but more often than not just random propaganda from unknown common screen names on each individual model in a certain studio and/or region.

Yeah I'm a little OCD, but now if I have a REALLY appalling experience with a model. I will bypass the whole edited for TV faux review system and call VS directly. Screw the reviews.

I will still write nice long reviews for my favs just to thank them, but beyond that, they are useless to me.

And to answer GOFISH's original question. Banning me from a room for a negative review is redundant. I never go back anyway. Perma-Banning me from the site just because of a negative review? Unless I threatened bodily harm or complete familial extermination in some way shape or form, no fucking problem, my money spends fine elsewhere. :twocents

Well i have a more negative one,,but is still on my bio , i didnt deleted it ..but u must recognise that a verry is alright to be deleted ..specially if the member was rude ..! and if the model deserved it should be there !

Let's be clear about something ... the site would never ban a member who submitted a bad review. However a model might do so, or perhaps an over-zealous studio administator

Sorry Jeffie, I disagree. If there is one thing I've learned about VS, it's never say never. I've seen Flirt's so-called "Zero Tolerance-Rules and Regulations" fluctuate as whimsically in rooms as the censorship here on the forums. The dailies are proof of that. After witnessing a hear-impaired member almost get perma-banned for repeatedly not being able to hear the models talking to him, nothing would surprise me anymore.

...I have written thousands of reviews. The vast majority of them have been quite positive. Some have been negative to an extent, but I still try to add something to offset the negative part of my experience. I have never been banned, nor have I even been warned about writing any type of review. Honesty is the best policy as far as I'm concerened.

...I am exhausted after writing such a long post!!! :) :winkwink

Almost never.

Models, studios, and VS have all learned that 95% of negative reviews come from members deliberately trying to disturb other models and members. Even the members who want to give honest reviews (e.g. forgottenclone) eventually come to this realization.

I have received about 5 negative reviews in two years. One of them is still visible. I appreciate feedback, but have scarcely gotten any of substance.

I can see the desire to keep this site all 'lovely' and not to display negative reviews, the number of members who would look at a performers review then decide not to visit a performer I would think is tiny compared to what wins a performer room visitors, for instance profile pictures.

The reviewer may make a negative review for a number of reasons and that review may be an honest reflection of that persons experience, if that review is not displayed I can understand that but the star system I think needs overhauling. My suggestion to display an indication of all reviews over the last 12 months based on credible reviewers 'known by the system' to be good and true.

I personally think all reviews both negative and positive should be posted but i don't think it should affect whether or not to visit a particular room.

If negative reviews are mostly to victimize the model, as has been suggested earlier in this thread, then what of positive reviews? Should they be taken at face value?

Its not like reviewers (other than myself) have any established credibility so all review should be treated at face valve, the same value as a petrol filling station voucher given to collect glasses 0.0000001 pence, collect all six vouchers and you can claim a face full....sorry glass tumbler made from the finest recycled glass.

I agree that all reviews should be treated at face value; however, given that all reviews are--pardon--reviewed before being posted, I am sure that whoever is--pardon again--reviewing the reviews can tell the difference between legitimate criticisms or complaints and unwarranted negative vitriol...always assuming it's a living breathing person evaluating the reviews and not a computer algorithm scanning for certain phrases, etc.

When it comes to negative feed back i really think that Flirt should check into it throughly especially when its something that can be proved ( private recorded show or chat text) and if its vailid punish the moidel

Ahrr yes now then, now then, now then boyz and girl, girls, girls. Problem!

Consider this, demands for continued discount credits offers means the budget only allows for an experimental brain c/w eyes on stalks to be kept functional in an chamber continuously fed with air and a couple of supporting fez wearing monkeys. Who eventually wake up and provided with training can find a banana which every morning has been placed on the desk of their workstation.

So do you want keep paying for bananas to feed the monkey's or have fewer offers on the discount of credits to pay for improved processing of complaints, procedural compliance, performance monitoring, enforcement action and administration of disciplinary action.

Oh, my mind=fucked guess is: keep feeding the monkeys!

I think Phil247 said that the checking you suggest would be a labor-intensive process which would cost the site (and therefore the members) too much to implement

Also, some negative feedback is a matter of opinion or taste and can't be "proved"
