Yeah those Fishers are a big family. Mr. and Mrs C. Fisher were very busy.

Set your main page "View by" to A - Z and they won't all be at the top anymore, problem solved. You can do that in models' rooms for "who's online" as well. :thumbsup

The entire top row is now Fishers. It's getting weird. Unless the site wants to rename to AllInTheFamily, perhaps some variation is possible?

Also, it's not fair to automatically sort Adult Stars to the top. They should live with the same power score rules as everyone else. There are a lot of hard working cam stars who put in many hours to get to where they do and this isn't fair to them.

I agree. Adult Stars shouldn't all be treated equally, and automatically get top billing on the Live Chat page.

Perhaps it is OK for 1 or 2 of the biggest names who bring more customers to the site

I don't understand the "unfairness" or the "automatically sorting" stuff mentioned above in the thread. Each one of us has the ability to set the sorting of models whether it be on the main page or in a model's open chat room with the room lists below the chat screen. Now one group may be appearing at the top because they could be generating the most traffic. Whatever the case each of us can change the setting catagories. If you don't want to see all of one particular group at the top change your settings.

I think that nearly everyone who visits the site sees the (home) Live Chat page with the standard default setting. The default setting is also applied whenever the cache is cleared.

All performers would love to be at the top of the Live Chat page, just like the Fishers. It is the best possible "I'm Here" publicity. The performers I know would like the Live Chat placings to be done fairly (*)

The A-Z setting can be handy, Asti, but thankfully is not the default setting. It would put Zac Zeek and Zethy R permanently at the bottom of page 4. We would also find that all new performers were called Aaron ... :winkwink

(*) There was a time when the Live Chat placings seemed to be entirely random. The top row on Page 1 included performers who had been here for only 2 days. The legendary Stefano was on Page 4. I raised this in a General Discussions topic, and VS explained that they were experimenting with different algorithms at that time:

If your settings are to the site's defaults then placement on the main page is by power scores and earnings. What is not fair about that? See if there is a "random" setting I guess. If people don't like that then set to A-Z. What's more "fair" than alphabetical order? [See below for the "Z's".] I have mine set to A-Z because that is how I like it. My home page order/ranking is not based on the whims of other viewers.

Yes, it will put the "Z" models at the end but you are able to select "View All" also and that eliminates pages. All the models are on one big happy page.

I think the unfairness is that Adult Star status overrides any rankings based on power scores, earnings and other factors which apply to all other performers.

Exactly what you said Ronnie. The algorithm puts all Adult Stars first and then ranks the rest by power score.

No, it wouldn't. "Adult Stars" are always placed at the top of the shuffle. All other categories are irrelevant in the sorting.

There is the saying, "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink."

A couple of us have been trying to explain if you set the sortings on A-Z this entire Adult Stars on top of page "problem" disappears. Yes that puts the Z models at the end but it eliminates the original issue brought up in this thread. Adult Stars are placed alphabetically on my screen, only if they have "AAA" to start their name will they be at the beginning/top.

New users don't know that, so when they first logon they get multi-page with the adult stars at the top. A lot of new users don't even know there is an option for single page or even that there are other pages. Irrespective of whether it is right or wrong, this does give them a definite advantage.
