8 Reasons I've seen an "Experienced" Performer risk a Party Chat.
1. The Instant Flush---To get rid of large group of annoying greys instead of banning them all one by one.
2. The Wallet Peek---To see who in their room at least has 200 credits in their wallet (yep, they can see just like a group pledge, in addition to seeing who is purchasing credits while in their room and who is willing to spend). Not a bad roll of the dice for a few minutes of SHOW ASS comments.
3. The Cattle Call---To fill up an empty room quickly. (Lest we forget that the more members in their room the higher they appear on the page, even temporarily. While quantity doesn't equal quality, it may accidentally bring in brand new potential fans that have never visited their room before}.
4. The Tease--A prelude to a group show or a pvt (See #2, once they identify how many members have at least 200 credits, they have a better chance at estimating what they can set a group chat for or which tipping members to hone in on specifically afterward).
5. The Negotiation--A "polite" counteroffer to a make-an-offer show. (If a member makes an offer that is far below what a performer thinks is fair, a model may suggest a party in order not to insult the offering member thus getting the him to spend his credits plus the chance to possibly earn more without giving having to agree to a definite outcome or time period).
6. The Grift---to promote an upcoming contest, event, fan club, new twitter account, request for boost points etc, etc,. It's up to the performer what goes on in a party chat. It's still considered open chat so they ALWAYS have the choice to show ALL, a peek or nothing at all. While most members assume there will be some kind of "show", it doesn't necessarily have to involve anything hardcore.
7. The Apology---When a private or group show gets inadvertently but totally fucked up by a technical difficulty, loss of internet connection, missed cumshot etc etc.
8. The Actual Party- To stir up excitement and energy on a slow night. (Yes, incredulous as it sounds, models DO get bored sitting or talking for hours and freeloaders know it. A party chat gives them a reason to get up and move, stretch, pose, flex etc etc and still having earning potential. Let's not be naive, times are hard right now for a lot of these guys, new and veteran alike, a good party tipper or two in a room full of cheapos is better than no tipper at all.
***My suggestion to the newbies is that if they are getting bombarded with party chat requests or want to try it, post in your banner specifically what you are willing to do and for how much, then ask of few tipping members to "start the party" BEFORE you hit that Party Chat button. Never jump into Party without a plan.

Postscript: For the record. I personally abhor Party Chats, but I concede sometimes they are a necessary evil here on F$F.
