Just a suggestion for any members out there. If you are just cruising the site checking who is online and such consider dropping into some of the new model's room and say HI. It is quite important to make them feel welcome and give them any tips as to how to get a good start on the site. Many often are either on the shy side or unsure of what they should be doing. Now I am not suggesting that you take advantage of them as that would defeat the whole purpose of what I am suggesting. Be polite and you just may find another FAV to add to your model list. If it is not the case please be kind to them as you leave the room.
I would be interested in what other members and models might think of this topic. Thank you

I don't think this is a bad idea, gofish, and in honesty, when I offered advice to a new model through his forum post, I was intrigued enough to visit and see how things were going. I am glad I did, as we are now good friends.

However, members also need to restrain themselves from giving excessive UNSOLICITED advice. If the model asks for help, that's one thing, and well-meaning members will do their best to assist...for example, explaining the differences between Party and Group Chats; between Private, Premiere, and Multi-User; if rates are too low or too high; offering suggestions on how to encourage tipping, pledging, etc.; how to deal with deadbeat freeloaders or rude members in the chat room. But outright telling a model what to do would be wrong on various levels, especially if the advice is potentially faulty or incorrect...though having several experienced and knowledgable members in the room would be a good check on potential mistakes in the advice.

Of course, if a less-than-scrupulous member is about to take advantage of a new model (or even an experienced one, sometimes), by all means step in and stop the situation cold!

I don't see why a new model should need to get advice from a member. Most of them work for studios which take a sizable portion of the model's money. For all the money they take, the studios should be providing the model with all the help he should need or want.

gayslave4u, I don't know for certain, but I have a feeling the models in studios get minimal coaching or instruction and leave the rest up to a significant learning curve. And then, there are also the independent models who start without belonging to any studios at all, who might get a "handbook" of dos and don'ts, but beyond that no further assistance unless they specifically ask for it.

Advice from members can help ease the discomfort and shyness of new models as they become accustomed to being on cam.

And if you think they are part of a studio they get learnings on how to talk or what to do ?
They learn how to log in on websites and voila , learn alone.
Not all studios have coaching personal to training a model for everything. So , yes they need support from you.
But is up to you if you want to be respectful and helpful or if you want to trick the new guy.

Great answers, Great advice, There is 3 new models I privated and " They dont speak english ", and they dont ever talk, but they strip and do their thing , made me feel a little welcome, hehehehe.. hope it made them feel welcome

STEPONIT is really right. Keep hearing from new models that there are so many things about the site that they do not understand. From what I see the site provides very little if any preparation to new models.
The task is up to many of us members to help a model out where ever possible. The smile on the face is the greatest appreciation that one could get. Just remember you are dealing with real people here who have become a model for various reasons. A helping hand to a fellow human being really is not too much to ask for.

Keep hearing from new models that there are so many things about the site that they do not understand. From what I see the site provides very little if any preparation to new models.

I understood that there is a model's handbook.

Back in 2011 Adam Foxx, one of the top models here, produced a 20 point guide primarily aimed at the members. However, many of the models said that they found it really helpful. It was a "sticky thread" at the top of this forum for a couple of years. When it dropped down the forum I highlighted it as the #1 topic in this list of Useful and Interesting forum topics:
