I'd love to know if there is a way I can be alerted when someone new enters my room, via a noise or sound, as it is much handier than constantly looking at the screen.

There is a slight sound only when someone enters in your private room. As far as I know , there are no other sound alerts. I also think it is better to give full attention at the screen all the time you're online. Quote

I think if you had a sound for every time a customer or none registered person came in your room it would drive you crazy in time and also this type of audio alert system annoys the customers because it can be heard in your room.

Customers of this site are already complaining about hearing other sites noises in this sites open room or paid show areas.

Just keep an eye on your user list or set your Room Receptionist to notify you when a certain type of customer comes in that you want. It's in your settings on the area where you used the forums under the "Manage" drop down menu then "Room Receptionist", it will then give you a message that you can only see in your chat so you know who is new that just came in your room, it's the same system that sets the auto greeting messages too, so you can set auto greetings there too if you like.
