I just dug this response out of a buried thread. I guess it applies to here too. Not about lighting or shows, just about being good with people so that they come back again and again. There are lots and lots of really hot guys on this site - I think that you have to do more to get people back again and again.
I am just a member and not a performer. However, my impression is that the more successful performers are the ones who make friends with members so that some members come back again and again to their room. So my advice is to be really friendly and treat all the members like you want to become friends with them. REALLY MAKE THE EFFORT. Most of the members you talk to probably won't come back, but some of them might. And if you are lucky, a few of the people who come back again and again will spend money with you - again and again. Some of the "member-friends" might not spend much money here. But, if you are lucky, you might have some member-friends who spend a little money on the site each week, and maybe they spend it with you. If you are very lucky, you might even get 2 or 3 members who spend a lot of money with you -week after week after week.
So my advice is to be friendly with everyone - and REALLY MAKE AN EFFORT. Pretend you are at a party and have to make friends with a lot of new people. So you need to do all the things that you might do if you were at a party in real life. Here are some suggestions.
(1) Be friendly to the people in your room. Ask where they come from, ask about work, ask about anything - just like you would if you met someone new at a party or at a bar. So … be friendly.
(2) Answer questions about your own life - as much as you are comfortable with. If you talk about personal things - your study, or a sport you like, or sexual preference - then members feel they know you better, and are more likely to talk about their own life with you. And they are more likely to come to your room again. So … be friendly.
(3) Try hard to remember the things that members tell you, and use this next time you speak with them. So if one member tells you he is going to Texas for a few days for work, remember this and ask him about the Texas trip the next time he comes to your room. If you do this, the member will notice that you are interested in him - it makes him feel special and everyone likes this feeling. And they are more likely to come to your room again. So … be friendly.
(4) Flirt with the members - as much as you are comfortable with. Most members really like this, and it makes the members feel special if you remember jokes that they like or sexual preferences or something else they told you before. So … be friendly and flirt.
(5) Start conversations in your room. If the members are quiet, talk about a movie you just saw, or music that you like, and ask if anyone else likes that movie, or that music. If a performer sits in a room looking bored, the members feel bored too.
(6) Be honest in open chat and honest in pvt. If you promise to do something in pvt chat, then do it. Yes, some members are not nice people and some members might not be honest with you. But, you need to be honest yourself so that the good members remember this. The good members are the ones who might - maybe - come back to you again and again.
(7) Don't worry too much that most of your effort in making 'member-friends" is wasted. Most members don't have lots of money and many members might like a different type of performer to you. That's OK. Everyone is different. If you are pleasant and friendly to lots of people, then hopefully just a few of them will be friendly to you - and this will help you earn more money from the site.
Sorry if this advice sounds arrogant. I obviously don't know exactly how to make money here. Probably there are lots of different ways to be successful. This is just my view about what might help a performer earn more money from here. I am surprised, though, about how many models don't even TRY to be friendly. That just makes no sense to me
